~~1 <br />Water After discussion, Hustrulid moved that renewal of the agreement <br />Agreement between the Farmers Union Grain Terminal Association and the <br />GTA Village for the xater extension from the GSA property to the <br />Village Hall be executed, provided the agreement is the same as <br />last year. Seconded by Shavor and carried unanimously. <br />Dachtera re Officer Dachtera reported that one of the gasoline service stations <br />trailers at was considering the ren ting of trailers and wished to knox the <br />filling stations council's reaction to the proposal. It was agreed that Cartwright <br />xould discuss the matter with the service station operator. <br />Pedestrian Dachtera also reported that the businessmen xere allowing the <br />cross xalk signs pedestrian cross ~ralk signs, indicating no parking, to become <br />obscured covered up. Shavor was asked to talk with Mr. Bishop about <br />the matter. <br />Street & Bridge In accounting for the Village's allotment from the County's <br />fund allotment road and bridge fund, amounting to ~1 966.19-this year as <br />compared xith ~2,066.1s7 a year ago,th~~~$~tid that the County <br />Auditor advised that the $~l~0,000 apportioned to various <br />subdivisions is split on a percen tags basis - 30~ or X12,000 <br />according to assessed valuation, and 70;6 or X28,000 on the basis <br />of road mileage, accounting for the variation in the municipality's <br />allotment from year to year.. <br />Spot lighting In reporting on this matter, Hustrulid said the State Traffic <br />pedestrian engineers do not approve of spot lighting traffic signs, which <br />cross calk creates glare and hinders the vision of both the motorist and <br />sign pedestrian. <br />Ordinance No. 31, Cartwright reported that in going over the proposed fire depart- <br />Fire Dept. went ordinances with the Volunteer firemen, they expressed <br />preference for the Ordinance including the duties, rules and <br />a merit system. Cartwright then read the proposed ordinance, <br />and after some discussion, moved adoption of ORDINANCE N0. 31, <br />AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT AND GOVERNMIIJT OF <br />A VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT A~iB PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF <br />ORDINANCE N0, 1 PASSED MAY 11, 1919. Seconded by Stenzinger <br />and the following vote taken and recordeds <br />Ayes: Stenzinger, Shavor, Hustrulid, Cartwright,Stewar~. <br />Nays : None '"~ <br />The Mayor then declared Ordinanc® No. 31 adopted by a unanimous <br />vote and ordered publication of same. <br />Chairs - The Clerk reported that one of the ~t metal folding chairs, <br />Lyon Metal which had rusted, was shipped to theetal Products Company, <br />Products Co. of Aurora, Illinois, at their request, for examination in order <br />that they may arrange for a proper adjustment. <br />Meeting It being 11 P.M., Cartwright moved that the meeting be extended <br />extended in order to complete unfinished business. Seconded by Stewart <br />acid motion carried unanimously. <br />Plana & specs., Hustrulid turned over to the Village attorney the plans and <br />impvts., heating, specifications covering the proposed heating, ceiling and <br />ceiling ~ walls, wall improvements in the assembly room of the Village Hall. <br />Council room. The attorney was asked to prepare these in proper form to <br />advertis® for bids. <br />
