~J~ <br />to <br />Public Safety including partially used books, be turned over/the Public <br />(cont~d) Safety Supervisor Who shall issue such traffic tickets <br />only to duly appointed police or other authorized <br />Traffic tickets individuals, and that the Public Safety Supervisor maintain <br />a record of the issuance of such ticket books and report <br />periodically on same to the Council, Seconded by Stewart <br />and the following note taken and recorded: <br />Ayes - Stenzinger, Cartwright and Stewart <br />Nays - Shavor <br />The Mayor declared the motion passed by a three-fifths vote. <br />Insurance covering As to Whether the Village has insurance coverage in case <br />psgr. in Village of a person Who might be inured While a passenger in a <br />police car.. car being used by a Village police officer. it was agreed <br />that our attorney should Write the insurance company to <br />see if our present insurance would protect the Village in <br />such case. <br />Tunnel for cross- On proposed widening of Larpenteu r avenue and possibility <br />walk of constructing a tunnel to replace the cross walk; the <br />Public Safety Commission Chairman Was informed that the <br />matter had been referred recently to the County Engineer. <br />SWanson~s special After discussion, Stewart moved that any authority delegated <br />police polders to the Fire Chief and others as special police officers under <br />terminated the resolution of the council of August 23, 1919, be and <br />hereby is terminated and rescinded, Seconded by Shavor <br />and motion carried unanimously. <br />Sewer survey Shavor reported on his talks with Village Engineer Carley, <br />proposed. and Mayor Stenzinger reported on his discussions With <br />Mayor Olsen of Roseville and with Mr. Banister, of <br />Banister Engineering Company, relative to a program for <br />sanitary sewerage for the Village and proposal for <br />joining with Roseville in a suburban area program. <br />The Mayor recommended that the council hold an informal <br />~.,,. <br />meeting with Mayor Olsen With the Village attorney, Mr, <br />Carley and Mr. Banister in attendance, to find out exact <br />costs and what part we would take in their program. <br />Stenzinger. said the cost to Falcon Heights for the Banister <br />study and report would be about X2,000.00. <br />Meeting It being 11 P.M., Cartwright moved that time for adjournment <br />extended be extended to complete unfinished business. Seconded by <br />Stewart and so ordered. <br />Fires not attended After discussion of report that Fire Chief Swanson Was not <br />by Fire Chief in attendance at two fires, one on February 1 and one on <br />February 28, Cartwright-moved that the Mayor be authorized <br />to ask the Fire Chief for an accounting, Seconded by Shavor <br />and so ordered. <br />Chief to instruct After discussion, Shavor moved that the Fire Chief be <br />Fire Dept. operational directed to instruct our Fire department operational <br />officers officers in all phases of operation of the department, <br />including functions of the office of the Chief in its <br />entirety, and that the Chief submit a monthly report <br />to the council covering such instructions to operational <br />officers. Stenzinger seconded and motion carried un- <br />animously. J <br />
