e) Public Safety Don Arndt presented copy of "Offense form" needed by the Public Dept. forms Safety department. Stewart moved that 200 copies of said form be multilithed in duplicate. Shaver seconded and so ordered. Sanitary Mr. Arndt J. Duvall, Municipal Engineer, of Toltz, King and Sewer Day, Inc., Pioneer Building, St Paul, was introduced to members of the Council and to Lynn Mat±eson and Ralph Van Hoven, Legislative committee members who were present. Letter of March 17, 1955, from Toltz, King and Day, Inc., was read relative to engineering services they are in a position to offer in connection with the proposed study of sanitary server needs of Falcon Heights. Also read were the results of a telephone survey of residents of the Village conducted by the League of 1Vomen Voters of Falcon Heights to try and determine League of horn many residents would or would not be interested in connecting Women Voters to a sewage disposal system. The survey showed that 150 calls telephone survey were made to residents in various parts of the Village with the following results: 111 yes 10 no 8 didn't know 19 when present system fails 2 depending on cost The League also reported that at least 25 per cent of those answering "yes" indicated they were doing so depending on costs. The Clerk also reported receipt of five letters from residents, all of whom were in favor of sanitary sewer. Sanitary server problems of the Villa ge were then discussed with Mr. Duvall, also related matters pertaining to his Toltz, King & Company's engineering services for Edina in connection with Day a point sewer connection for Edina and Richfield, with each suburb having their own engineering firm to represent them on all phases of the work, including a proper d~viisimn~.8fcdosta. In discussion that followed, Lynn Matteson and Ralph Van Hoven', Legislative committee members, both strongly recommended that the Village employ its own engineering firm .for making the proposed preliminary study and survey. As to reported requirements set Huatrulid to up by St Paul; Cartwright moved that Trustee Hustrulid be appointed contact St Paul to consult with St Paul City officials to ascertain what engineering re engineering data St Paul would want in os~r to secure a sewer connection for data needed. Thanks League Hustrulid moved that the Clerk write a letter to the League of for Phone survey Women Voters of Falcon Heights, thanking them for their good work and cooperation in conducting the telephone survey they did on the sanitary sewer question. Seconded by Cartwright and motion carried unanimously. Village sag The Clerk reported on the map of the Village being prepared being prepared by the Village engineer. It was agreed that Trustee Shavor would cheek-with the Clerk on details which he felt the proposed map should include.
