Larson <br />installation said the main purpose for removing said liner is a safety <br />(cont'd) factor, due to increased heat from the incinerator. He <br />also said it is difficult to police such cases unless <br />permits are taken out by authorized installers. The <br />Clerk was asked tp prepare a news item for the purpose <br />of informing home owners contemplating such installations <br />to have the work done by authorized installers for the <br />owner's safety. <br />Village map Stewart reported that the street map being prepared in the <br />Village Engineer's office would be delivered to the Clerk's <br />office within a few days. <br />Juvenile In connection with the council's suggestion of March 23 that <br />cases the Public Safety 6upervisor discuss handling of juvenile <br />traffic cases with the Justice of the Peace, the Clerk reported <br />that Pix~ilic Safety Supervisor Arndt felt this involved a legal <br />quests on. Hustrulid moved that the matter be referred to our <br />attorney for an opinion. Seconded by Cartwright and so ordered. <br />Fire Underwriters In connection with Council action of February 9 advising the <br />re Pitot equipment Fire Chief that purchase of pitot equipment for testing <br />pumping engines had been deferred, and that he ask the <br />Fire Underwriters Inspection Bureau to conduct a test and <br />inspection of all of our pumping equipment and to report. <br />back on the cost of said test and inspection; the Cleft <br />read a letter dated March 28 from the Fire Underwriters <br />Inspection Bureau to Fire Chief Swanson relating to the <br />purchase of such equipment and tests that could be made <br />with same. The letter was ordered filed. <br />alley not graded Cartwright reported that the alley north of Larpenteur <br />or open to between Holton and Pascal has never been graded and is not <br />traffic. open to traffic. Our attorney advised that the council <br />cannot take action in the matter until a petition for <br />improvement is received. <br />Meeting It being 11 P. M., Cartwright moved that the meeting be <br />extended extended. in order to complete unfinished business. Seconded <br />by .Stewart and motion carried. <br />Daylight saving Cartwright moved that if the proposed daylight saving time <br />legislation is adopted that the Village go along with St Paul <br />in adopting same. Seconded by Hustrulid and motion. carried. <br />Revenue-fees Cartwright moved that our attorney determine and report back <br />to the council on sources of revenue or regulatory Pees which <br />a Village is entitled to, which we are not using at present. <br />Seconded by Stenzinger and motion carried. <br />1 <br /> <br />Insurance-police Letter of April 7 from our attorney was read, advising that <br />car passengers a Village employee injured as a passenger in a police car <br />in the course of his employment would be limited to his <br />rights under the Workmen's Compensation Law and that the <br />Village would b® protected under said policy. <br />Adjournment: motion, the meeting adjourned at 11;Y~ P.M. <br />Approved <br />~, er <br />or <br />
