58~ <br />Street bill, The Clerk also submitted for noting the County's street <br />April bill, covering work performed in April on Arona avenue, <br />in the amount of X103.08, chargeable to our 1955 allotment. <br />Lauderdale Trustee Shavor presented a letter proposing that fire protection <br />standby fire charges to Lauderdale be based upon assessed valuations of <br />protection Lauderdale and Falcon Heights. ,~.fter discussion, Stewart moved <br />that the letter be referred to our attorney for study and <br />report. Seconded by Stenzinger and motion carried unanimously. <br />Adjournment: On motion, the meeting adjourned at 11:?~0 P.M. <br />.~~o - <br />C <br />Approved: <br />PUBLIC HEARING, VdEDNESDAYz JUNE 8, 1955 <br />(Norbert L. Hermes Rezoning Petition) <br />The hearing was declared open at 7:00 P.N., the following council <br />members being present: Robert E. Stenzinger, ~Gayor; George J. Shavor, Trustee; <br />Andrew Hustrulid, Trustee; David P. Cartwright, Trustee; Clyde J. Stewart, Clerk. <br />Also present: Frank N. Graham, Attorney <br />The Planning Co~mnission's letter of June 8, 1955, relating to the <br />petid~ion of Norbert L. Hermes, requesting the rezoning of Lot 7 of ~'he Crossroads <br />from Residence District A to Business District, was read. The Commission stated <br />that rezoning_ of the lot from Residence District A to Business Parking, with <br />privilege of operating a temporary stand for flowers and plants in season does <br />not, in the Commission's opinion, violate good planning principles. The Commission <br />recommended that entrances and exit to this parking area be confined to the service <br />drive so that cars will not discharge directly into Snelling avenue. The Commission <br />also recommended that the request for rezoning be gran±ed unless opposition is <br />expressed at the hearing with valid reasons. <br />The Mayor asked if anyone wished to be heard for or against the <br />petition. No one wishing to be heard, Shavor moved approval of the rezoning <br />ordinar~c~ request and adoption ®~ ORDINANCE N0. 32 (which was read), AN ORDINANCE A~TENDIPIG <br />No•32.. THE ZONING t~AP ti~HICH IS A PART OF ORDINANCE P!0, 8.
