REGULAR ;dL~TING, ~iEDNESDAY, AUGUST 17, 1955 <br />soy. <br />~Reeting called to order at 7:~.t5 P.iv~., the following council members being present: <br />Robert E. Stenzinger, mayor; George J, Shavor, Trustee; David P. Cartwright, Trustee; <br />Clyde J. Stewart, Clerk. Absent: Andrew Hustrulid, Trustee. Also present - <br />Niilliam ~. Olsen, Treasurer, and Frank N. Graham, Attorney. <br />Minutes of July 27,.1955 meeting were heard and approved as read. <br />State Fair Seven on-sale beer applications to sell non-intoxicating malt <br />On Sale Beer liquors at various rginnesota State Fair locations, beginning <br />Licenses August 27 thru September 5, 1955, together with check for 9245.00 <br />covering license fees, were received from the following: <br />'d~illiam S. ~Brede <br />Jack L. Robinson <br />Mrs. Katie R. Little <br />r'_iss Ina Forsman <br />k~'. Franklin Thori <br />Gordon A, Schierman <br />Theodore B. Steichen <br /> After discussion, Cartwright moved approval of the said applications. <br /> Seconded by Stenzinger and motion carried unanimously. <br />?,Ras ter <br />Gas Installer's applications from the following firms with check from each, covering <br /> license fee for year beginning July 1, 1955, were approved on <br /> motion by Cartwright, seconded by Shavor: <br /> Fred Vogt ,~ Company <br /> The h"itchell Company <br />Fire Truck .Letters were read from 'l~"illiam N. Hite with reference to Indemnity <br />Insurance Insurance Co. of America automobile physical damage policy IH 73305, <br />policies providing fire, theft, etc. insurance to cover 19lt7 and 19lt9 4tiard <br /> La France fire trucks, and Indemnity Insurance Company policy <br /> CAL -9561, comprehensive liability insurance covering all owned, <br /> hued and non-owned automobile and trucks for the Village, both <br /> policies being effective for one year beginning July 25, 1955, the <br /> premiums being X61.25 and X280.50 respectively. Cartwright moved <br /> that said premiums be paid, subject to our attorney finding that <br /> the insurance coverage is the same as the previous year. Seconded <br /> by Stenzinger and motion carried unanimously. <br />Fire Dept. <br />~ Cartwright moved. approval of the requisition, excepting the <br />Reqn. #51 Hydrostatic test pump item. Seconded by Stenzinger and so ordered. <br />Business bldgs. Fire Chief Swanson's letter of July 30 was read, relative to <br />have no openings buildings in the business district having no outside openings to <br />to basement from basement, and suggestion that the building code be amended so <br />outside that all commercial buildings erected in the future be provided <br /> with "basement hose inlet boxes," providing for getting water into <br /> a basement fire from the floor above. Shavor moved that the letter <br /> be referred. to Building Inspector Christensen, authorizing him to <br /> purchase a copy of the new St Paul building code and report back. <br /> Stenzinger seconded and motion carried unanimously. <br />Arona street Attorney Graham reported on certificate of title, covering the <br /> strip approximately in the middle of Arona street south of <br />
