6~3 <br />Barthel Joe Barthel, 1769 Pleasant, Lauderdale, inquired about securing <br />Villas a building permit on Lot 19, Barthel Villas, which he owns. <br />Said he had offers from two parties who wish to purchase the <br />property. also said he would sell the lot to the Village if it <br />was needed for drainage purposes. After discussion, Shavor moved <br />that the question of drAmnage on lots in Barthel Villas, on which <br />issuance of buildings permits has been prohibited because of the <br />drainage problem, be referred to Village Engineer Carley for <br />study and report. Seconded by Cartwright and carried unanimously. <br />Speed limit Don Arndt appeared before the council and recommended that 30-mile <br />signs, Roselawn speed limit signs be installed on Roselawn avenue to assist in <br />policing traffic on this street. ''.ayor S+,enzinger questioned <br />Trucks using the recent routing of trucks on the Snelling service lane from <br />knelling service the post office to La.rpenteur avenue. Arndt was asked to discuss <br />lane the matter tivith ?vir. Clewett of the State Highway Department and <br />report back. <br />Hermes i~T, Z.. Hermes and his attorney, ?~4r. Niemann, appeared before the <br />Rezoning council. i~~r. Niemann reported that Messrs. Hermes, Shelgren <br />and Johansen are in substantial agreement concerning the restriction <br />on Lot 7, The Crossroads, but that actual agreement has not been <br />reached, but that all three parties are agreed that the council <br />can drop the ~dermes rezoning matter from their agenda. A.~r. Riiemann <br />further assured. the council that Mr, and Mrs. Hermes will neither <br />sell Lot 7 or put. it to any commercial use until either an agreement <br />has been reached with the adjoining property owners or the council <br />has been notified that t•he parties have been unable to .arrive at <br />such an agreement. <br />Fire truck In reporting on the purchase of two Delco batteries for fire <br />batteries truck as specified on Fire Department requisition approved at <br />the previous meeting, the Clerk asked for authority to junk <br />the two old batteries for what they could be sold for. Cartwright <br />moved that the Clerk be authorized to junk the old batteries as <br />requested. Seconded by Shavor and so ordered. <br />Loaning or elf ter discussion of the matter of loaning or junking personal <br />junking personal property belonging to the Village, Stewart moved that the question <br />property of be referred to our attorney for checking and report, Seconded by <br />the Village Cartwright and motion carried unanimously. ' <br />Sanitary Ste~rart stated that Trustee Hustrulid prior to leaving on his <br />Sewer vacation, reported that our engineers have conve~aed to Mr. <br />Banister, Roseville~s engineer, the figures on the maximum ultimate <br />flow for Falcon Heights, with the understanding that ?sir. Banis~r <br />will give our engineers an estimate of the cost of the connection <br />with Roseville. <br />Associated In connection with complaints that cars are being parked on <br />Investors Residence A property owned by Associated Investors, Inc. and <br />parking referred to as Tract 2 in their recent rezoning request, the <br />Village attorney was requested to notify the Associated Investors <br />that unless use of this area for parking purposes is discontinued <br />that action will be taken under the penalty provisions of the <br />ordinance. <br />
