Public Safety Supervisor Don. Arndt, all Village policing <br />equipment that he may have in his possession, such as <br />traffic tickets, oolice badges, billy clubs, etc. <br />Seconded by Cartwright and mo+.,ion carried unanimously, <br />Hydrostatic test Letter from Fire Chief Swanson was read, explain.in~-.that <br />pump the hydrostatic test pump requisitioned August 5, 1Q55, <br />would be used for testing Yiose, that heretofore such tests <br />have been made by use of the pump on the apparatus, but that <br />such continued use might result in damage to the pump. <br />Swanson said the Nalprin Supply Company, of Los Angeles, <br />offers this test equipment complete for ~'~72.OU, After dis- <br />cussion, Shavor moved that the question of purchasing a <br />hydrostatic test pump be referred to the Village Clerk for <br />pricing and additional information. Seconded by Stewart <br />and motion carried.. <br />Fireman Schultz Don Arndt informed the council that DeputYSheriffs Earl <br />cooperates in Smith and James +~aller had reported on the cooperation <br />emergency case they received from. our Fire Department. in an emergency <br />heart case, Sunday, August 21, 1955. They said that Fireman <br />Stanley P. Schultz, on duty at, the time, had. the resuscitator <br />ready when the deputies and the patient arrived, that Schultz' <br />action in operating the resuscitator on the patient, !~dr. <br />William Teter, of Logo, &~issouri, at the fire station and <br />until the patient reached Ancker Hospital, contributed much <br />towards saving dir. Te~er's life according to the doctor's <br />.report. After discussion, Cartwright moved that the Clerk <br />be instructed to write Fireman Scfialtz a letter of <br />commendation on his action in the -natter. Seconded by <br />Shavor and. motion carried unanimously. <br />Insurance on Attorney Graham's letter of August 19 was read, relative to <br />fire trucks insurance policies Nos. CAL X9561 and Itr 73305, covering <br />the two fire trucks against liability and physical damage, <br />stating he had checked these against the previous policies <br />and that the coverage is the same. ?fir. Graham's letter also <br />noted that we did not have collision or comprehensive <br />insurance covering the fire trucks, and that the council <br />mip~ht want to revieti^r the decision made in not providing this <br />coverage. The Clerk was asked to discuss this matter with <br />the League of ?Municipalities office as to what. other <br />communities-•do on collision insurance on their trucks, also <br />to talk with Lynn iatteson regarding the matter. <br />Street lights R. Street Commissioner Suborn being present, was asked to <br />street signs, determine and report on the number of street lights needed <br />Klatt.'s addi±,ion, in Klatt's addition and the estimated costa He was also <br />Maple Knoll asked to check and report on the number of street signs <br />required for A~aple Knoll and Klatt's additions and on <br />Remove sand estimated costs for eachg subdivfbn. Seaborn reported <br />tramline R= Idaho he had been asked to have sand at. Hamline near Idaho <br />and Iowa removed.
