<br />Meeting called to order at 7:~U P.PR., all council members being present as follows:
<br />Robert E. Stenzinger, ~,ayor; George J. Shavor, Trustee; Andrew Hustrulid, Trustee;
<br />David P. Cartwright, Trustee; Clyde J. S±,ewart, Clerk. Also present: 'r"dilliam E.
<br />Olsen, Treasurer, and Frank 5~1. Graham, Attorney.
<br />Regn. #63 from the Public Safety Supervisor for 1000 officers' daily report
<br />forms and. one metal cabinet for police equipment and supplies, was
<br />ordered. approved on motion by Hustrulid, seconded by Cartwright.
<br />Reqn. #~6?~ from the Fire Department for two record books for keeping Fire
<br />Department: and police logs, was approved on motion by Stewart,
<br />seconded by Hustrulid..
<br />Arona St. A post card addressed to the street commissioner, signed "Resident,"
<br />was read, expressing thanks for filling holes on Arona street.
<br />Holton St. Letter of September 1 from'~~rs. Joe Sanderson was read, requesting
<br />drainage repairs to the street in front of 1753 Holton. On motion by Stenzinger,
<br />seconded by Cartwright, the letter was referred to the Village Engineer
<br />for checking and report.
<br />15L~7 ~~T.Idaho Letter from Albert J. Helbig, 157 ~~. Idaho, was read relative to
<br />drainage the drainage problem behind his property which he said was caused
<br />by air conditioning water from the shopping center. Stewart moved
<br />that the matter be referred to Trustee Shavor for checking and
<br />report. Seconded by Cartwrigh t and motion carried.
<br />Heating R~ On motion by Stewart, seconded by Shavor, it was voted to refer to
<br />Air Condition- the Village gas inspector for study and recommendation a letter
<br />ing Examination dated August 28, 1955, from tho Heating and Air Conditioning
<br />Board Examination board, of St Paul, relative to recognizing the Heating
<br />and Air Cond~titi~~ning Examination Board and its requirements with
<br />respect to gas ins~~llers.
<br />Associated Letter of August 2l~, 1955, from Jack ~rallace, St Paul attorney,
<br />Investors' representing residents in the vicinity of the Associated Investors
<br />property shopping center, was read relative to his clients having no objection
<br />to the construction of double bungalows on property described as
<br />Tract 2 in the Associated Investors recent rezoning petition. After
<br />discussion, Cartwright moved that copies of the letter be forwarded
<br />to our Planning Commission and Associated Investors, advising the
<br />latter that, we were askin~* our Public Safety supervisor to instruct
<br />the Village police to check and report on any parking of cars in
<br />the Class A residence area referred to as Tract 2. Seconded by
<br />Hustrulid and so ordered.
<br />Revised The Clerk reported on the revised gas rate schedules, filed v~d..th
<br />Gas the Village by the Northern States Power Company on September 1,
<br />schedules 1955.
