Seconded by <br />Hustrulid and so ordered. <br />Paver Co.'s The Clerk presented a copy of the revised Supplementary Rules and <br />revised rules Regale tions of the Power Company, making it possible to use more <br />increasing gas under the General Service rate and increasing the limits <br />gas load allotted for residential, commercial and industrial space heating <br />limits fro~h 200 to 2,000 cubic feet per hour. <br />Proposed The Clerk read a letter from The Old Northwest Company, of Minneapolis, <br />group an insurance agency, referring to a law enacted by the 1955 state <br />insurance legislature, authorizing municipalities to place group insurance on <br />its employes and to participate in premiums. Stenzinger moved that <br />the file be referred to Trustee Cartwright for checking and report. <br />Seconded by Hustrulid and so ordered. <br />Cooperative Letter of October 18, 1955 from the League of Minnesota Municipalities, <br />agreements together with a report prepared by Mrs. Vera Likins, covering <br />for m~uiicipal cooperative agreements for municipal services between governmental <br />services units in the Twin Cities area, was considered. The Clerk was asked <br />to request additional copies so that each member of the council and <br />our attorney may have a copy. <br />Operational Governor Freeman's letter of October !t, 1955, relative to securing <br />Survival Plan- the cooperation of all levels of government for an Operational <br />Civil Defense Survival Plan Was read, and the following resolution adopted by a <br />unanimous vote on motion by Hustrulid, seconded by Cartsright: <br />Resolution: WHEREAS, if this country is attacked, the primary objective of the <br />enemy will include centers of industrial production, and concentrated <br />on our civilian population; and <br />WHEREAS, the capabilities of nuclear and other weapons are so great <br />that an attack, if successful, will result in damage and casualties <br />far beyond the resources of any community; and <br />WHEREAS, the S t Paul-Minneapolis metropolitan area is officially <br />listed by the Federal government as one of 70 critical target areas <br />in the Nation;; and <br />WHEREAS, the Federal Civil Defense Administration has invAted the <br />State of Minnesota to participate in the National Survival Plan <br />project. <br />NCM, THEREFORE, be it resolved .that: <br />the political subdivision of the Village of Falcon Heights, State of <br />Minnesota, will cooperate to the full extent of our capabilities with <br /> <br />
