62.1 <br />Operational the State of Minnesota and the Federal government in the study and <br />Survival development of civil defense measures designed to afford mamimum <br />Plan (cont'd) protection of life and property through participation in the Survival <br />Plan pro3ect financed entirely by the Federal Civil Defense Admini- <br />stration. <br />F.D. order Fire Department order No. 35, dated October 2lt, 1955, relative to <br />re fire fire inspections to be made by the paid firemen on their 8-hour <br />inspections by over-lapping tour of duty, xas given consideration. Shavor moved <br />paid firemen that payment of mileage to all of the paid firemen for inspections <br />be authorized in an amount not to exceed #12.50 per month for the <br />entire force. Seconded by Stewart and motion carried unanimously. <br />Proposed Drive- Joseph E. Kroemer, 515 N. Snelling Avenue, St Paul, realtor, <br />In on Larpen- appeared before the council to request permission to build a <br />tear between drive-in on Larpenteur avenue between St Marys and Fry streets, <br />St Marys and stating that the operator of the business xould be Mr. Adamson, <br />Fry present owner of the Turn Grill on Larpenteur avenue in Roseville. <br /> After discussion, Stewart moved that the applicant proceed under <br /> .the ordinance by filing an application for license and plot plan, <br /> showing xhere the }3r~poaed drive-in parking area xill be, also <br /> suit and entrance, how Bar the proposed building xould be from <br /> back fence line, etc. Seconded by Stenzinger and motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br />Bills: On motion by Hustrulid, seconded by Cartwright, the following bills <br /> xere ordered paid: <br /> Milner W. Carley, engineering services, Aug. & Sept., $50.00 <br /> Nick Christensen, fees, bldg permits 1163 thru lt75, ~1lt9.90 <br /> The Rose Tribune, publish Ord. #3b, Oct. 6,'55, #8.40 <br /> S.Berglund Lumber Co., 2x4's for hose rack, X12.30 <br /> Minn.Fire Extinguisher Co., CO 2 rechar e, Sept. 6, X3.50 <br /> Northxestern Be11 Tel. Co., Mi 6-5200, 17.20 <br /> Tieso Elec. Co., Inc., repair fire siren circuit,- $108.31 <br />Shopping Center Don Julen, representing Associated Investors, Inc., presented plans <br />proposed fora five-store unit shopping center on the property at the south- <br /> east corm of Larpenteur and Snelling avenues, stating that the <br /> plans xere the same as referred to our Planning Commission some time <br /> ago. After discussion of the plans and suggested corrections in <br /> same, Hus trulid moved that Building Inspector Christensen be authorized <br /> to issue the necessary building permit as soon as the plena have been <br /> revised to his satisfacta~i.on. Seconded by Stenzinger and motion <br /> carried unanimously. <br />Arthur Lindig Arthur Lindig, 1879 ~-. Larpenteur, appeared before the council <br />re road needed to discuss the possibility of constructing a road from Larpenteur <br />for developing to Roselawn avenue between Fairview and Tatum for the purpose of <br />his property developing property xhich Mr. Lindig oxns in the area. He xas <br /> referred to the Planning Commission xho is considering this matter. <br />
