<br />Civil Defense Veronica S. Kjelland, Civil Defense director, Women's division,
<br />reported to the council on attendance at two meetings of the Women's
<br />(Veronica S. Organizations for Civil Defense held in St Paul. It was announced at
<br />Kjelland) these meetings Mrs. Kjelland said, that a revision of Civil Defense
<br />air raid instruction is under way. rdeanwhile, officers were urged
<br />to inform their areas "to be watchful of the Alert Signal and to
<br />observe present plans until revisions are completed. The council
<br />expressed thanks to Mrs. Kjelland for her very good report and
<br />requested that she prepare a series of articles on Civil Defense
<br />for publication in The Rose Tribune with other Village Hi-Lites.
<br />Advisory The Mayor announced that Chairmen of the various committees, including
<br />Committees Public Relations, Parks & Playgrounds, Police Survey and Legislative
<br />to meet committee, will hold meetings prior to the next council meeting and will
<br />report to the council in turn.
<br />Skating Cart~rright reported on attendance at the skating rink and use of

<br />Stan The ,Clerk reported that the Mayor had discussed with him a proposed
<br />Seaborn resolution of thanks for our former street commissioner, Stan Seaborn.
<br />Resolu+iort The following resolution was then introduced and adopted by a unanimous
<br />vote, on motion by Stewart, seconded by Utecht:
<br />WHEREAS, G.S. (Stan) Seaborn served as Street Commissioner, Village
<br />of Falcon Heights, Minnesota, from April 1919 to January 1956.
<br />THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the Village Council hereby expressed
<br />on behalf of the Village of Falcon Heights and its citizens, thanks
<br />and appreciation to Stan Seaborn for services rendered during his
<br />long period of public service.
