654 <br />Cars at Cart:right sported that cars behind the Shell gasoline station <br />Shell Station at Albert an Larpenteur, were left there by the former operator <br />of the statio , Mr. Taylor. Cartwright said Taylor has been <br />contacted several times regarding the matter, but has done nothing <br />about removing the cars. Taylor will be called again, Cartwright <br />said. <br />Proposed A revised Fire Department ordinance to replace Ordinance No. 31 <br />Fire Department -was discussed. Acting Volunteer Fire Chief Eaxl Grumke was <br />ordinance present. Attorney Graham was. requested to prepare a proposed <br />Fire Department ordinance. It was also agreed that our attorney <br />would work with Chief Grumke in drafting the ordinance. <br />Annual Report of Annual Report of our Fire Department-ter ~r~, together with <br />Fire Department a letter relating to the report and suggestions for increasing <br />the efficiency of the engines, was read and discussed. <br />On recommendation that pumps on engines 1 and 2 be checked over <br />~danufacturer to by the pump manufacturer, Cartwright moved that pumps on both <br />check engine engines be checked over by the pump manufacturer as requested <br />pumps by the Chief. Seconded by Stewart and so ordered. <br />With respect to'an AC converter for one of the engines, and <br />AC converter, replacing of some of the volunteer firemen's raincoats; the <br />raincoats Chief was asked to make regular requisition for these items. <br />Annual Report Cartwright then moved acceptance of the Annual Report of our <br />approved. Fire Department, and that the Chief be commended for his very <br />complete and excellent report on the Department's activities. <br />Seconded by Utecht and motion carried unanimously. <br />Police Police activities were then discussed, especially plans for <br />officers logging in and logging out. The Clerk was asked to <br />arrange with Don Arndt to attend our next meeting so that these <br />and other matters pertaining to our policing could be discussed <br />with him. <br />Traffic tag In connection with the issuance. of traffic tag books to and <br />books to Fire their usec'by our F~:re Department; the council agreed that <br />Dept. such tags be issued only by the Fire Department officer in <br />command, and that Fire Chief Grumke and Public Safety Supervisor <br />Don Arndt should get together ~€~rorking out details accordingly. <br />North Suburban After discussion, Car~rright moved that Bernard J. Rechtiene <br />Recreational Council be appointed as Falcon Heights representative on the North <br />representative Suburban Recreational Council which will consider recreational <br />planning in School District No. 3.
