ss~~ <br />Ben Wilson, asked to be heard a second time. Said he wanted to speak in <br />1835 Simpson behalf of George Geist who is his neighbor. Wilson said he <br />knew some people had complained about Georges dogs, but that <br />the dogs never bothered him and that it is only when the dogs <br />are molested that they bark. <br />John C. Kelsey, asked regarding enforcement of the ordinance. Mr. Kelsey said <br />1lt70 West California there is a difference between dogs, but that all should be <br />registered so it can be determined which dogs are giving the <br />trouble. <br />L.M. Nolan, said he owass a dog and keeps it on a leash the year around, <br />11185 West California Thinks those who keep dogs as a hobby should be given <br />consideration. <br />Ordinance No. 39 No one else wishing to be heard, the council discussed. the <br />proposed ordinance further and suggested corrections. <br />Dog Registration Nilsen then moved adoption of ORDINANCE N0. 39, AN ORDINANGE <br />REGISTERING AND REGULATING THE KEEPING OF DOGS. Seconded by <br />Utecht and the following vote taken and recorded: <br />Ayes: Utecht; Shavor, Cartwright, Nilsen, Stewar t <br />Nays: None <br />The Mayor declared Ordinance No. 39 adopted by a unanimous <br />vote and ordered publication of same. <br />Group insurance Letter from the Village attorney relative to the letter <br />and questionnaire from the Minnesota Benefit Association <br />relative to a statute providing that the Village may pay <br />all or part of the premiums. on group insurance for Village <br />employees, was discussed. It was agreed to refer the <br />matter to Cartwright who will develop information as to <br />costs. <br />Plaiks at skating In connection with having the planks picked up at the skating <br />rink rink at Garden and Holton, Cartwright was asked to make the <br />best deal he could in having the work done. <br />proposed <br />Village Hall In the matter of advertisine for bids for the/Villae~e Hall <br />Assembly Room heating system and for Village Hall improvements, Utecht moved <br />improvements - that the Clerk be authorized to publish said advertisements <br />advertisement for in The Rose Tribune of April 19, 1956. Seconded by Cartwright <br />bids and motion carried unanimously. <br />Street plan for After discussion, Shavor moved that the Planning Commission be <br />unplatted areas requested to continue their study of a proposed street plan for <br />the remaining unplatted areas of the Village, and that the <br />Commission be authorized to employ technical assistance in <br />connection with the project if necessary, with the suggestion <br />that the area south of Larpenteur, between Cleveland and Snelling, <br />be given first consideration. Seconded by Cartwright and motio <br />carried unanimously. <br />Associated Investors- Complaints were considered regarding continued parking of <br />Parking cars on Residence district A property in the rear of <br />Associated Investors' business block adjacent to Arona. <br />Cartwright moved that our attorney write the present owner <br />and the rumored future owner, notifying them that they are <br />
