Utecht, Mayor; George J. Shavor, Trustee; David P. Cartwright, Trustee; <br />Harold C. Nilsen, Trustee; Clyde J. Stewart, Clerk. Also present: William E. Olsen, <br />Treasurer, and Frank N. Graham, Attorney. <br />Minutes of May 9, 1956 meeting were heard and approved as read. <br />Bills: On motion by Utecht, seconded by Shavor, the following <br /> bill was ordered paid: <br /> St Paul Book Rc Stationery Co., office supplies, Clk., X7.29 <br />Sheriff's letter Sheriff Gibbons' letter of May 16 to the Mayor was read, <br />re radio system relating to the Sheriff's proposal to install and operate <br />for County a two-way radio communication system for the entire County. <br /> The letter stated that combining the present four systems <br /> of police communication in the County under one station with <br /> a transmitter operated by the sheriff's office would. greatly <br /> assist with policing problems in subdivisions of rural <br /> Ramsey County. After discussion, Stewart moved that the <br /> letter be referred to our Public Safety Committee for study <br /> and reco~nendation as to (1) the Village's share of costs <br /> and horn determined (2) degree of Village participation in <br /> the plan (3) xhether the Village is to supply equipment, <br /> such as cars and radio, and (!~) that the Committee submit <br /> its report on or before June 13. Seconded by Utecht and <br /> motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />
