Seconded by Cartwright and motion <br /> carried unanimously. <br />Tastee Freez Mr. Norman Brausen, one of the operators of the Tastee Freez, <br />sign - 1702 N. 1702 N. Snelling Avenue, and his attorney, Mr. Phillip J. <br />Snelling Maguire, ~ if some plan could not be worked out for <br /> placing of a sign on the property at 1702 N. Snelling. <br /> Suggested changes in the height and position of the sign <br /> were discussed from a public safety standpoint. Following <br /> this discussion, Cartwright moved that in view of the <br /> suggested changes as to the height and position of the Tastee <br /> Freez sign, that our building inspector be authorized to <br /> issue a building permit sub3ect to the following requirements: <br /> (1) That the sign be located at or as near as possible to <br /> the north line of the Tasty Freez building and not beyond <br /> the building line of Webers. (2) That the sign be set in <br /> satisfactory abutments {3) That the sign be enclosed by <br /> curbing at least 5 feet in diameter. (lt) That the base be <br /> either painted or covered with Scotch light reflecting <br /> material so the sign can be seen in the dark. Seconded by <br /> Shavor and motion carried unanimously.. <br />Advertise for In view of the report that Andrew Hustrulid had checked <br />bids - Village Hall over specifications and that we were ready to advertise for <br />heating and bids, Shavor moved that the Clerk and Attorney prepare and <br />assembly room publish advertisements for bids for the Village Hall heating <br />improvements system and for the Village Hall ceiling, walls and windows. <br />Seconded by Nilsen and motion carried unanimously. <br />Mower for grass Fire Chief Grumke's letter of June 13, 1956 was read relative <br />slope west of Village to the type of mower needed for keeping the grass slope and <br />Hall ditch west of the VilZ$ge Hall in orderly condition ~ r~~r~sssl~, <br />The Chief expressed the opinion that if plans are to fill up <br />the ditch and enlarge the parking lot, a light mower would <br />serve the purpose; otherwise the Chief said a heavy power feed <br />type mower would be required. <br />Damaged pedestrian The Clerk reported he had discussed with Mr. B. E. Scott, <br />cross walk stop Insurance Agent, Pioneer Building, St Paul, the damage to <br />sign the pedestrian cross walk stop sign caused by Alfred C. Keller, <br />1599 Cornray, St Paul. Mr. Scott said their insured, Mr. Keller, <br />admitted his liability, also that bill for repairing the sign <br />should be mailed to the insurance company. <br />Rezoning request Letter of June 11, 1956 from the Planning Commission was read, <br />submitted by Ralph with respect to the Co2arnission's recommendations regarding <br />J. Keller - Planning the petition dated May 15, 1956 submitted by Ralph J. Keller, <br />Commission's to rezone from Farm Residence district to Business district <br />recommendation certain properties described in the petition. It was aggreed <br />to refer the Planning Commission's letter to Mayor Utecht <br /> <br />
