<br />Dachtera charge, Item on policeman Henry Dachtera's bill for June, charging
<br />meeting with
<br />Custom's Club, 3~ hours, 18 miles, for meeting with the Customs Club the
<br />evening of June 11, was discussed. Utecht moved that none
<br />disallowed. of the Village police officers be paid for attending extra
<br /> curricular meetings unless authorized by the council, acrd
<br /> that payment to Dachtera for atte~nce at said Customs Clu b
<br /> meeting, included in Villa ge check No. lt250, be deducted
<br /> from Officer Dachtera's policing and mileage claim for July.
<br /> Seconded by Shavor and motion carried unanimously,

<br />traffic Mr.Frank Skog, 1607 Mamie Knoll Drive, with three other Maple Knoll
<br /> residents appeared before the council to report there were 27
<br /> signers to the petition to barricade the entrance to Maple Knoll
<br /> from Snelling avenue and 17 residents who were opposed. Mr. E.W.
<br /> Spring, 1665 Garden, inquired if any consideration had been given
<br /> to the placing of stop signs at intersections, and was informed
<br /> this had been considered. After discussion and in accord with
<br /> the wishes of Maple Knoll residents in attendance, Utecht moved
<br /> that the matter be .referred to Public Safety Supervisor Don
<br /> Arndt with instructions that he contact Messrs. James E. Brown
<br /> and E.W. Spring, of the Maple Knoll Citizens' Committee, for
<br /> the purpose of arranging a meeting with residents of the area
<br /> as a means of reaching agreement on the problem, with the under-
<br /> standing that all concerned be given two weeks' advance notice
<br /> of the proposed meeting, including Trustee Nilsen who will
<br /> represent the Council. Seconded by Stewart and motion carried
<br /> unanimously.
