<br />REGULAR MEETING, WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 10, 1956
<br />Meeting called to order at 7:l~5 P.i~II., with council members present as follows:
<br />William R. Utecht, Mayor; George J. Shavor, Trustee; David P. Cartwright, Trustee;
<br />Harold C. Nilsen, Trustee; Clyde J. Stewart, Clerk. Also present: William E.
<br />Olsen, Treasurer and Frank N. Graham, Attorney.
<br />Minutues of regular meeting, September 26, 1956, and of special meeting, October 8,
<br />1956, were heard and approved as read.
<br />Dean Lundholm After discussion, Nilsen moved that the bill of the
<br />Cons tructinn Co. Dean Lundholm Construction Company, Inc., St Paul, Minn..,
<br />Inc. bill. covering labor Aadomaterial to October 1, 1956, for remodel-
<br />ing of the Village Hall, in the amount of X1,280.00 be paid
<br />and that the certified check of Dean Lundholm Construction Co.
<br />Inc., which had been submitted with their bid, be returned.
<br />to them. Seconded by Cartwright and motion carried
<br />unanimously.
<br />Bills: On motion by Shavor, seconded by Cartwright, the following
<br />bills were ordered paid:

<br />Juvenile Services As requested, Mr. M. J. Gerraghty, Supervisor, Juvenile
<br />report Services, Ramsey County, appeared at the meeting to discuss
<br /> ~uuenile matters with the council. Mr. Gerraghty said that
<br /> Juvenile Services has contact with no local resident of
<br /> Falcon Heights at this time, that two or three years ago
<br /> they had upward to four bow in the area, but have had no
<br /> probation cases in the Village since then. He said they
<br /> do have business in surrounding areas, and attributed
<br /> Falcon Heights good record to a generally high income
<br /> bracket per family. Mr. Gerraghty said ,the record indicated
<br /> good policing and gave special c~ddit to Falcon Heights'
<br /> parents and home standards. The advisability of adopting
<br /> a curfew ordinance was also discussed with Mr. Ger~a~l~y.
<br /> He favored setting the curfew time not later than 10 P.M.
<br /> and said a curfew ordinance should work out all right if used
<br /> wisely.
<br /> Dr. D.M. Garrow, 1488 West Iowa, called attention to the
<br />Dip at Arona sharp dip at Arona and California and asked if such dips
<br />and California could not be eliminated by filling in or putting in culverts.
