X28 <br />Ownership of Copy of letter of October 9, 1956, from the Village attorney to <br />Water mains A4ayor Utecht, relative to determination of ownership of existing <br />water mains in the,Village, together with map showing all mains <br />in the Village at this time. <br />Tree Trimming It was agreed to ask N1r. Schultz, St Paul tree trimmer, what <br />costs his daily charge would be for his crew. Trustee Nilsen will <br />contact. <br />Dead or injured The question of disposing of dead or inured animals found. on <br />animals public streets, was discussed and referred to Trustee Nilsen <br />for checking. <br />Police patrol after discussion of police matters and especially a squad car <br />car equipped with radio, Cartwright moved that we request the <br />Public .Safety Committee to submit to the council at the <br />earliest possible date, specifications for a police patrol car <br />and radio, including the type of car (station wagon or other), <br />type of radio, type of accessory equipment needed and. a list of <br />equipment presently owned. Seconded by Stewart and motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />Tiling of floor, The matter of tiling the floor in the Village Hall was discussed. <br />Village Hall Trustee Nilsen was asked to get some informal prices. <br />Sanitary Sewer Attorney Gra}~gm reported that he had checked with Mr. Duvall, of <br />survey progress- our Sanitary Sewer engineering firm, who stated the survey work <br />ing in the Village is going ahead, that the engineer's crews are out <br />in the Village, and~with a break in the weather, Mr. Duvall. hopes <br />to have the information available by November 15, so an information <br />sheet can be made up in connection with the proposed public <br />hearing on the sewer project. The Village Attorney also reported <br />he had sent copies of the plats to our sanitary sewer engineers, <br />showing the location of the water mains and copies showing <br />location of existing sewers. 'Mays of financing roughly estimated <br />costs were discussed. <br />Brigg,s,Gilbert, Attorney Graham was asked whether the law firm he represents, <br />Morton,Kyle &. Briggs, Gilbert, Morton, Kyle and Macartney, would provide the <br />Macartney services- services offered by a fiscal agent in connection. with our <br />sanitary sewer sanitary sewer project. He said they could see that the bonds <br />are issued properly, that the proceedings are handled in a legal <br />and proper manner from the beginning to the end, that they would <br />work closely with Mr. Duvall, our sanitary sewer engineer,~~pare <br />pre~eri~i.ton,.>a~t~~~s~aanswer questions at the hearing along with <br />Mr. Duvall. Attorney Graham estimated on the basis of a $500,000.00 <br />bond issue that the cost to the Village would-not exceed X2,000.00 <br />and that this would be handled as a separate account. <br />1956 Bu: et Some further work on setting up the 1956 budget was done. <br />Adjournment: On motion, the meeting adjourned at 11 P.M. <br />Approved: erk <br />Mavor <br />
