~" '7 3 <br />Fire Department Letter of January 9, 1957, from Fire Chief Grumke <br />Relief Association expressing appreciation of the Fire Department <br />matters Relief Association members for the help given them <br />on January 8, 1957 by Mr. George Anderson, of the <br />State Public Examiner's office, i+n setting up and <br />keeping the Association's books and in conducting <br />their organization in accord with the governing statutes, <br />was read. In accord with the letter, Shavor moped that <br />the Clerk be directed to write a letter of thanks to <br />Mr. Anderson. Seconded by Nilsen and motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />Parking of Cars The Fire Chief's letter of January l~,1957, was read, <br />of FUGTA members reporting on permission that was. given for the parking <br />on VHRrF'S parking of five or six cars in the rear of the station at the <br />area request of GTA's manager who explained that the members <br />opning the cars would be away for about ten days on an <br />annual trip to Washington, D.C. <br />Tank Truck The Cle rk reported that Mr. Rus tad of the office of <br />Equipment Civil Defense had informed him that fire department <br /> equipment could no longer be purchased thru the office <br /> of Civil Defense on a matching fund basis. Mr. Rustad <br /> suggested that soiae items for equipping our tank truck <br /> ``might be secured thru the Department of Education's <br /> surplus property stations. The Clerk reported he had <br /> informed the Fire Chief to this effect and also suggested <br /> checking the catalog of Halprin Supply Company for tank <br /> truck items. <br />Regn. #99 covering 2 cases of No. 30 engine oil, 2 oil filters, <br />Fire Dept. 2 chamois skins, and 2 6-volt batteries for Eng. #1, <br /> was ordered approved on motion by Shavor, seconded by <br /> Warkentien. <br />Alley account- Nilsen reported on the balance due the Village for <br />Seaborn work done on the alley between Iowa and Idaho from <br />Albert to North Pascal, and that he planned to see <br />Mr. S eaborn and report further on the matter at our <br />next meeting. <br />Tree trimming ~ Nilsen moved that Schultz Tree Service be authorized to <br />continued carry on tree trimming operations up to a cost of ~l~75.00. <br />Seconded by Warkentien and motion carried unanimously. <br />Adjournment: On motion, the meeting ad3ourned at 11 P.M. <br />--._.. <br />-,.-... <br />Cle <br />Approved: <br />or <br /> <br />
