Sanitary Attorney Graham reported on easAments on both the north and sewer south. side of Larpenteur avenue which will be necessary to secure matters for sanitary sewer construction. The matter of resurfacing Fry street was discussed with Mr. Steffes. On recommendation of Mr. Steffes it was agreed to take 10 or 15 soil borings in different areas of the Village. Bids - Police In response to the Village's advertisement, sealed bid proposals Car on a new two-door sedan for police work, were opened. Bid proposal, together with check for 10 per cent of the tendered bid, was received from each of the following firms: Clayton Anderson Motors; certified check, $165.00 Downtown Ford Co., bid bond, $169.00 Midway Chevrolet Co.; certified check, $197.00 Jay Kline Chevrolet, Inc.; certified check, $202.85 Koppy Motors, Inc.; certified check, $195.60 Thornton Motors; certified check, $6190.59 Grand Avenue Motor Co.; certified check, $165.80 Stewart moved that the seven bid proposals be referred to Police Commissioner Donald Arndt for tabulation and report at the council's February 28, 1957 meeting. Seconded by Utecht and motion carried unanimously. Mr. A.M. Steffes, of our sanitary sewer engineers, reported he Air Conditioning had been informed by the Engineering Department, City of St Paul, water not per- that air conditioning water would not be permitted in our witted in Sewer sanitary sewer system. On Mr. Steffes' recommendation, the following resolution was adopted by a unanimous vote on motion by Utecht, seconded by Steuart: Resolution RESOLVID, that in accord with the contract no air conditioning water, either commercial or residential, shall be discharged into the proposed sanitary sewer system for the Village of Falcon Heights; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Village Clerk be directed to furnish a copy of this resolution to Mr. Arthur W. Tews, Chief Engineer, Department of Public Works, City of Saint Pact, Minnesota. Robert Rudd, The Clerk was also diracted to write Mr. Rudd who had made inquiry 1915 .Prior Ave. regarding the use of our proposed sanitary sewer for home air conditioning units at the council's December 26, 1956 meeting, advising him that the contract with the City of St Paul does not permit such use.
