Steffes' letter of February 28, 1957, <br /> regarding sanitary sewer matters, including agreement with the <br /> County on relocating of the sewer on Larpenteur Avenue, resurfac- <br /> ing of streets and drainage problems, was held with Mr. A.A4. <br /> Steffes and Mr. Vernon Ljungren. <br />Proposed storm The advisability of extending the County's proposed storm sewer <br />sewer extension thru to Tatum Street was discussed. Mr. Ljungren will contact <br />the County Engineer's office and report back on this matter. <br />Drainage- Ways and means for eliminating the drainage problem at Arona <br />Arona at Calif. .and California Avenues and at Idaho and Arona, were discussed. <br />Mr.-Ljungren was asked to prepare coat estimates, including <br />the cost of putting in a storm sewer in the area and for <br />bituminous surfacing. <br />-j <br />Garske ~aasonry It was stated that the proposed Iowa Avenue sewer will pass about <br />wall matter 10 feet north of a masonry wall belonging to the J.S. Garske <br />property. Placing a fill from the sewer location to the wall <br />was discussed as a protection to the sewer and Mr. Garske's wall. <br />Mr. Graham will discuss the suggestion with Mr. Garske. <br />Sewer contract The council agreed with the attorney's recommendation for use <br />penal ty clause of a penalty clause in case the contractor fails to complete <br />the work within the time specified in the sewer contract. <br />Payment for Attorney Graham reported on the matter of payment for cutting of <br />cutting gas gas connections. when sewer is put in the street, also on the <br />connections position the Village of Roseville has taken on this matter. <br />Question on The question of restoring the portion of the sewer on the west <br />restoring area side of Snelling Avenue from Garden Avenue to Roselawn Avenue <br />to sewer project to the sewer improvement project, was discussed. <br />Proposes sewer A proposed ordinance was discussed which would provide that no <br />connection for new homes may be built in the Village without connection to <br />new homes the sanitary sewer. Trustees Warkentien and Nilsen will <br />inform Mr. Ernest Weigt and Mr. William Lindig regarding the <br />matter.
