8'7 <br />SPECIAL MEETING, THURSDAY, NIAARCH 7, 1957 <br />Meeting called to order at 7:35 P.M., with the following council. members present: <br />William R. Utecht, Mayor; George J. Shavor, Trustee; Harold C. Nilsen, Trustee; <br />Willis Warkentien, Trustee; Clyde J. Stewart, Clerk. Also present: Frank N. <br />Graham and Herna~r3 Friel, Village Attorneys. Absent: William E. Olsen, Treasurer <br />No one wishing to have the minutes read, Utecht moved that reading of the minutes <br />of February 28, 1957 be dispensed with and that said minutes be approved as written. <br />Seconded by Shavor and so ordered. <br />Sewer not Attorney Graham reported. that Charles J. Hawkins does not want <br />wanted by the sealer put in in front of his property at about 2b21 Larpenteur <br />Charles J. Avenue West. Said Mr. Hawkins stated he had no intention of <br />Hawkins selling any of this property which is being used for nursery <br />purposes. Attorney Graham will advise Mr. Hawkins that ho homes <br />or buildings can be built on the property without sewer connections <br />which must be paid for by the person developing the property. <br />Police and On the matter of the proposed exchange of fire protection for <br />Fire protection police protection from Roseville, Trustee Nilsen reported that <br />exchange a meeting had been held with our police commissioner and par t <br />proposed time police officers regarding the matter, also that a further <br />discussionof the matter was being held this evening between <br />our police commissioner and Roseville's chief of police. Nilsen <br />indicated that recommendations would be presented at the council's <br />March 11t, 1957 meeting. <br />Septic tank, Mr. A. M. Steffes, of our sanitary sewer engineers, reported he <br />Village Hall had been informed by A. V. Winterer that the septic tank is <br />located on the east side of the building, approximately 50 ft. <br />back from the front part of the building. Steffes said that a <br />letter from the architect, Mr. Buetow, under date of July 30, <br />1949, authorized Mr. Winterer to install the septic tank at that <br />location rather than in the rear of the building as shown on .the <br />original plan, and that the stack is located on the east wall <br />behind some cabinets in the room between the boiler room and the <br />fire engine room. <br />Village Hall Our sanitary sewer engineer's proposal is that the Village Hall <br />sewer connection sewer connection be made with the Hollywood Court sewer father <br />than bringing the sewer east from Fry Street along Larpenteur. <br />Since this would involve the Village Hall sewer crossing FUGTA <br />property, Attorney Graham was asked to see if the necessary <br />easement could be obtained. <br />Police Car Ordering of the police car from Clayton Anderson Motors was <br />discussed with Police Commissioner Donald Arndt. The under- <br />standing was that delivery of the car by May 1, 1957, should <br />be requested. <br />Arona-Calif In connection with the Village Engineer's recommendation of March <br />drainage 7, 1957, for correcting drainage condition at Arona and California, <br />Mr. Steffes stated that the proposal for the sewer contract and <br />the specifications provide for reshaping of Arona avenue at <br />California and Idaho avenues to correct the drainage condition, <br />including an item of rolled curb for about 300 feet as suggested <br />by ?,fir.
