88 <br />Tatum Street The reconstruction of Tatum street as recommended by Mr. Ljungren, <br />reconstruction of Carley Engineering, in his report of March 7, 1957, was <br />agreeable to the council. This provides for resurfacing the street <br />to its present width and postponing further improvement until <br />storm water drainage for the area can be arranged. <br />Payt. for gas The council concurred with the following paragraphs of Mr, Steffes' <br />connections - letter of March 7, 1957 - <br />starting Rc Paragraph 3, re payment for cutting of gas connections when sewer <br />completion is put in the street. (paragrpph ?) <br />daily . <br />contingency, Paragraph 8 - 12z$ to be used for contingency items. <br />12~~ <br />Larpenteur It was reported that the proposed extension of the Larpenteur <br />sewer 225 ft. Avenue sewer for about 225 feet west of Fry Street had been <br />west of Fry discussed further with Mr. William Lindig and Mr. Ernest Weigt, <br />and that they would now like to have the sewer in this area. <br />Mr. William ~,indig, who was present, indicated this was agreeable <br />after his discussion with the council as to the extent his <br />property would be assessed for the improvement. <br />Garske wall As to paragraph 11, of Mr. Steffes' letter, regarding the proposed <br />and fill fill over the sewer on Iowa Avenue where it crosses the pond area, <br />the fill to be from the top of the sewer to the masonry wall on <br />the Garske property; Attorney Graham reported that ll4r. Garske <br />approves of the suggestion. Agreed by the council that a provision <br />on this should appear in the specifications. <br />Plans & Mr. Steffes informed the council as to how the sewer proposal is <br />specifications set up, indicating that every effort would be made to have plans <br />and specifications ready for consideration by the council at <br />our March 1l~, 1957 meeting. <br />West side of In view of possible delay to the sewer improvement project, the <br />Snelling Ave., council decided not to-take action to restore the west side of <br />Garden to Snelling Avenue from Garden Avenue to Roselawn Avenue to the <br />Roselawn sewer project. Attorney Graham said that requirements for <br />putting sewer in the area when desired can be covered in a <br />proposed ordinance. <br />Klatt's Trustee Shavor said he had informed Mr. Conrad Klatt that no homes <br />Addition could be built in Klatt's Addition without connection to the sewer, <br />and that a proposed ordinance will provide for connecting up to the <br />sewer when Sheldon street can be put in between Ruggles and Roselawn <br />avenues. It was agreed that our attorney should advise Mr. Klatt <br />regarding this matter by letter. <br />
