<br />Minutes to The Clerk reported on receiving a request for copy of the minutes <br />League of of each council meeting from Mrs. Leo Ohman, of the Falcon Heights <br />Women Voters League of Women Voters. Warkentien moved that the Clerk be authorized <br />to comply with Mrs. Ohman's request. Seconded by Nilsen and so <br />ordered. <br />Old batteries The Clerk presented a report received from the Fire Chief regarding <br />and metal old batteries, metal scrap, etc., from the tank truck, which was <br />scrap from sold to H.S. Kaplan Company for $28.50 with check for this amount <br />tank truck made payable to the Village. Approval of same was voted on motion <br />sold by Utecht, seconded by Shavor. <br />Property west The Mayor brought up the matter of following up on requirements to <br />of Arona & be met by the owners of the property west of Arona and south of the <br />south of business district, especially tree planting and seeding. Shavor <br />Biz district was asked to contact Mr. Stepnitz regarding the matter. <br />Thru traffic, The Mayor reported there was too much thru traffic-on the Hollywood <br />Snelling drive Court side of Snelling drive. After some discussion, Utecht <br />moved that the matter be referred to Police Commissioner Arndt <br />for investigation and report. Seconded by Stewart and so ordered. <br />Fireman <br />Schultz' Trustee Nilsen was asked to check and report back on tke matter <br />brother-in-law of Fireman Schultz' brother-in-law, Chester Sorenson, staying at <br />staying at the fire station. <br />Fire Station <br />Inventory - Inventory of police equipment as of February 28, 1957, furnished <br />Police by Police Commissioner Donald I'rndt, was noted by the council.. <br />Equipment <br />Proposed Recommendations on proposed salaries for the three paid firemen, <br />salaries were received in written form from the Committee, consisting of <br />for Firemen Trustees Nilsen and Warkentien and Treasurer Olsen. A copy of <br />the proposal was furnished to each member of the council for <br />study. <br />Alley account- The Clerk reported on contacting G.S. Seaborn regarding the <br />Seaborn balance due the Village for work performed last summer on the <br />alley opening on Albert and Pascal between Iowa and Idaho <br />Avenues. <br />Children's The Mayor reported that the Children's Shop, 1538 Larpenteur Avenue <br />Shop West, stayed open Sunday following a recent Saturday sale at <br />the store..
