Keep-Off signs Fire Chief Grumke reported on the large amount of water in the for Panding area ponding area at Idaho and Snelling, with suggestion that the area be posted with "Keep OfF" signs from a public safety stand- point. Trustee Nilsen agreed to check with the County on having said signs put up. 5oi1 Borings, Letter dated March 18, 1957, from Mr. Steffen, of our Sanitary report on Sewer Engineers, enclosing copy of the Twin City Testing and Engineering Laboratory tabulated results of the soil borings, was read. The Laboratory reported putting down twelve soil test borings along the proposed sanitary sewer line during the period from February 22 to February 2b, 1957. Fire Department Requisition No.lll covering two quarters of aluminum paint, postage stamps, etc., was approved on motion by Nilsen, seconded by Utecht. Zoning Ordinance After a discussion of our zoning ordinance, Shavor was asked to review reviewr the ordinance for the purpose of making recommendations for improvement of zoning classifications. Proposed Fire Dept. The council received recommendations of the Committee, consisting Salaries, Special of Harold Nilsen, William r;. Olsen and Willis Warkentien, regarding Compensation, etc. proposed monthly salaries for the three paid firemen, with $20.00 for other than Fire Department services performed while on duty, to be added to each paid fireman's monthly base pay. Recommendation: The recommended schedule, covering base pay per month, compensation for other than Fire Department services, and vacation time, being as follows: (see next page}
