Arona about a two family dwelling at 186l~ N. <br /> Aron. The Mayor said that residences din our Village are <br /> supposed to be single family dwellings and that the applicable <br /> ordinance should be enforced. After discussion of this and <br /> similar instances, Trustee Shavor was asked to prepare a newspaper <br /> article on the matter. <br />Keep-Off signs Fire Chief Grumke reported on the large amount of water in the <br />for Panding area ponding area at Idaho and Snelling, with suggestion that the <br />area be posted with "Keep OfF" signs from a public safety stand- <br />point. Trustee Nilsen agreed to check with the County on having <br />said signs put up. <br />5oi1 Borings, Letter dated March 18, 1957, from Mr. Steffen, of our Sanitary <br />report on Sewer Engineers, enclosing copy of the Twin City Testing and <br />Engineering Laboratory tabulated results of the soil borings, <br />was read. The Laboratory reported putting down twelve soil <br />test borings along the proposed sanitary sewer line during the <br />period from February 22 to February 2b, 1957. <br />Fire Department <br />Requisition No.lll covering two quarters of aluminum paint, postage stamps, etc., <br />was approved on motion by Nilsen, seconded by Utecht. <br />Zoning Ordinance After a discussion of our zoning ordinance, Shavor was asked to <br />review reviewr the ordinance for the purpose of making recommendations <br />for improvement of zoning classifications. <br />Proposed Fire Dept. The council received recommendations of the Committee, consisting <br />Salaries, Special of Harold Nilsen, William r;. Olsen and Willis Warkentien, regarding <br />Compensation, etc. proposed monthly salaries for the three paid firemen, with $20.00 <br />for other than Fire Department services performed while on duty, <br />to be added to each paid fireman's monthly base pay. <br />Recommendation: The recommended schedule, covering base pay per month, compensation <br />for other than Fire Department services, and vacation time, being <br />as follows: <br />(see next page} <br /> <br />
