<br />Meeting Recessed meeting of April 30, 1957, was resumed at 7:30 P.N.,
<br />resumed Nay 2, 1957, with the following council members present:
<br />William R. Utecht, Mayor: George J. Shavor, Trustee; Harold
<br />C. Nilsen, Trustee; Willis Ylfarkentien, Trustee; Clyde J.
<br />Stewart, Clerk. Also present: Frank N. Graham, Attorney.
<br />Absent: William E. Olsen, Treasurer.
<br />Engr. reports Nr. Steffen report of May 2, 1957, on our engineers'
<br />on Sanitary analysis and tabulation of the three bids received on
<br />Seger System, Tuesday evening, April 30, 1957, was read and discussed
<br />I~pra3vement No.I, with the council, the report showing a total revised
<br />Part I, bids estimated cost of the project of ffi887,7lt3.50 compared
<br /> with estimated construction costs in brochure dated
<br /> December 5, 1956, of X775,000.00, increasing the estimated
<br /> front foot cost of ~7.lt8 shown in the brochure to $8,60.
<br /> The engineers recommended that the low bid of the Peter
<br /> Lametti Construction Company be considered for award of
<br /> the contract for construction of the Sani-tart' Sewer System,
<br /> Improvement No. I, Part I; that the award be made now so
<br /> the paving contractors bidding on Improvement No. I, Part II
<br /> (Street Resurfacing) may know who the contractor will be and
<br /> with whom they will have to work in resurfacing of the streets
<br /> and also so that the sewer contractor may submit his schedule
<br /> of the construction program so this may be known to contractors
<br /> bidding upon the street resurfacing.
<br />Resolution On motion by Utecht, seconded by Nilsen, the following
<br /> resolution was adopted by a unanimous vote:
<br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Advertisement,f~C Bids for the Sanitary
<br />Sewer System, Improvement No. I, Part I, were received, opened
<br />and tabulated according to law and the following bids were
<br />received complying with the advertisement:
<br />1. Peter Lametti Construction Company; amount, X621,630.65
<br />Date of Completion, November 1, 1957.
<br />Bid Bond in the amount of 5~ of the bid submitted with the bid.
<br />2. Barbarossa-Nodland Company; amount, $739,860.10.
<br />Date of Completion June 30, 1958, with notation that
<br />whatever portions are necessary to install this year will be done.
<br />Bid bond in the amount of 5~ of the bid included with the-bid.
<br />3. Wolff Construction Company; amount, $787,126.20.
<br />Date of completion, July 1, 1958, with notation: unless
<br />otherwise agreed upon.
<br />Bid bond in the amount of ~lt0,000.00 submitted with bid.
<br />WHEREAS, it appears that Peter Lametti Construction Company, of
<br />St Paul, Minnesota, is the lowest 3~~~pk:nsible bidder;
<br />NOiP THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the village Council, Village
<br />of Falcon Heights, Minnesota:
<br />(1) the Mayor and Cls rk are hereby authorised and directed
<br />to enter into a contract with Peter Lametti Construction
<br />Company, of St Paul, Minnesota, in the fora attached to
<br />the specifications, in the name of the Village of Falcon
