32~ <br />Alley In view of reported speeding, the council discussed the <br />Speed matter of reducing speed limits on Village alleys to <br />limits 15 miles per hour. After discussion, Shavor moved that <br />the speed zoning of alleys be referred to Police Commissioner <br />Donald Arndt for study and recommendation. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />Maple Knoll Attorney Graham reported that over the week end Maple Knoll <br />water connections residents and the builder got together on sharing the cost <br />of a booster pump to serve the area and that the Water Department, <br />City of St Paul, is in accord with the agreement. He said that <br />apparently the City of St Paul has authorized additional <br />connections for the four homes. <br />Street The Clerk reported on receiving a call from Mr. Pennig <br />maintenance on the need for patching of streets and of requiring the <br />Power Company to make good on settlements caused by gas <br />line installations. Nilsen reported that the County was <br />ready to go ahead with the street maintenance program as <br />soon as the Village Engineer furnished the map needed in <br />this connection. Said he had talked with Mr. L~ungren who <br />will take care of the matter. <br />Bids opened for Sealed bids on the constructionof Sanitary Suer System, <br />Sanitary Seger Improvement No. I, Part I, were opened at 9:00 P.M. <br />System, Impvt. #I, These included three bids as follows <br />Part I. <br />Peter Lametti Construction Company; amount, $621,630.65; <br />date of completion, November 1, 1957; bid bond for 5~ of the <br />bid. <br />Barbarossa-Nodland Company; amount, ffi739,860.1t0; date of <br />completion, June 30, 1958, with notation that portions <br />nedessary to be installed in 195 will be done; bid bond <br />for 5~ of the bid. <br />Wolff Construction Company; amount, $787,l~26.20; date of <br />completion, July 1, 1958, with notation: unless otherwise <br />agreed upon. Bid bond. in the amount of $!10,000.00 was <br />submitted with the bid. <br />Metering station The Acton Construction Compares submitted a bid for construction <br />bid of the metering station only; amount, $13,800.00; date of <br />completion, August 17, 1957; bid bond for 5~ of the bid. <br />Bids referred Utecht moved that the bids be referred to our Sanitary Sewer <br />to Engineer Engineers for tabulation and recommendation. Seconded by <br />Nilsen and motion carried unanimously. <br />Bills: On motion by Utecht, seconded by Stewart, the following <br />bills were ordered paid: <br />S.~bs;Pinlt.Bb®t€;v~ SAationery Co., press board covers & posts,$1.52 <br />Nor.States Power Co., electric serrrice,5-12, X35.30 <br />Construction Bulletin, Adv.
