32~ Alley In view of reported speeding, the council discussed the Speed matter of reducing speed limits on Village alleys to limits 15 miles per hour. After discussion, Shavor moved that the speed zoning of alleys be referred to Police Commissioner Donald Arndt for study and recommendation. Motion carried unanimously. Maple Knoll Attorney Graham reported that over the week end Maple Knoll water connections residents and the builder got together on sharing the cost of a booster pump to serve the area and that the Water Department, City of St Paul, is in accord with the agreement. He said that apparently the City of St Paul has authorized additional connections for the four homes. Street The Clerk reported on receiving a call from Mr. Pennig maintenance on the need for patching of streets and of requiring the Power Company to make good on settlements caused by gas line installations. Nilsen reported that the County was ready to go ahead with the street maintenance program as soon as the Village Engineer furnished the map needed in this connection. Said he had talked with Mr. L~ungren who will take care of the matter. Metering station The Acton Construction Compares submitted a bid for construction bid of the metering station only; amount, $13,800.00; date of completion, August 17, 1957; bid bond for 5~ of the bid. Bids referred Utecht moved that the bids be referred to our Sanitary Sewer to Engineer Engineers for tabulation and recommendation. Seconded by Nilsen and motion carried unanimously.
