C7 c) () <br />Clean-Up requests properties in Blatt's Addition by the. Bentley Construction <br />(cont'd.) Company, Ray Wagner ~cRaymond Schommer, also on properties <br /> in Falcon Woods by the Gage Construction Company. The Clerk <br /> was furnished with descriptions of the properties involved. <br /> Utecht moved that the Clerk be instructed to write each of <br /> the parties concerning these matters. Seconded by Shavor <br /> and motion carried unanimously. <br />Street Grade Street grade corrections on Arona south of Larpenteur for <br />Crossings improving drainage were discussed with Lr. Steffes and the <br /> resident engineer, Lr. Barney, also the matter of replacing <br /> culverts where necessary after clearing with Trustee Nilsen. <br /> In connection with any extra work required for street grade <br /> correction by the sewer contractor, Mr. Steffes said a <br /> change order covering such extras would be submitted to the <br /> council for approval. Mr. Steffes agreed to prepare a <br /> memo for the council covering the items discussed. <br />Bell & Light Letter under date of May 17, 1957, from the State Civil <br />installation Defense Director, was read, enclosing check in the amount <br />refund of $30.00, covering the Federal Civil Defense Administration's <br /> 50~ reimbursement on the Village's Bell andLight installation <br /> for the period ending June 30, 1956. The letter also stated <br /> that paper work was being completed for reimbursement for <br /> the period July 1, 1956 thru June 30, 1957. <br />Maintenance of A proposed letter to Commissioner Frank D. Larzitelli, City <br />Sewer System of St Paul, relative to the City of St Paul servicing sewers <br /> in the Village upon call at charges to be agreed upon, was <br /> considered. Utecht moved that the Clerk be authorized to <br /> sign and submit the proposal to the City of St Paul. Seconded <br /> by Warkentien and motion carried unanimously. <br />Policy does not In connection with Parks and Playground equipment maintained <br />cover Village elsewhere than the Village Hall and Clerk's residence, letter <br />property kept off of May 22, 1957 from The Keller Corporation was read, stating <br />premises. that our policy does not extend coverage away from the <br />premises. The Clerk was asked to determine if the equipment <br />is covered, such as the tape recorder, when taken out on a <br />truck. <br />Parking in commercial Trustee Warkentien reported that our Police Commissioner was <br />area alleys, street in accord with the Fire Department's recommendations (1) <br />numbers on rear Prohibit parking at any time in the alleys back of commercial <br />entrances area. buildings, except. delivery trucks, and (2) require <br />that street numbers be posted over rear entrancedoors. <br />The Police Commissioner, Warkentien said, suggested that <br />the business men be informed of these matters when inspections <br />of the properties are made by the Fire Department. Inquiry <br />will be made to see if the suggestion is agreeable to the <br />Fire Department. <br />Machine Accounting, The Cle rk reported he had talked with Mr. Spear, Director, <br />Ramsey County Lachine Accounting Department, County of Ramsey, who <br />indicated that he and his supervisor would be glad to <br />attend a council meeting when requested to do so for the <br />purpose of discussing machine accounting matters. <br />
