Also read in this connection, was <br />letter of July 11 from Fire Chief Grumke, stating that <br />three 5-gallon cans of Foam were used effectively on <br />a recent Lauderdale fire call, and that at the same fire <br />they had 3ust enough hose to reach 1200 feet from the <br />fire to the hydrant. It was also stated that the ladders <br />on Engine #1 are 10 years old and unsafe for use. <br />After discussion, Shavor moved approval of the requisition, <br />excepting the 600 feet of hose, and with the understanding <br />that prices would be submitted for approval on the 28 ft. <br />aluminum extension ladder. Nilsen seconded and motion <br />carried unanimously. The committee which is studying <br />the proposal for adjustment of charges in our standby <br />contract with Lauderdale was asked to consider in connection <br />with their study the total charges incurred by Falcon <br />Heights in making the Lauderdale fire run of July 6. <br />Clerk Reqn. #12l~ The Clerk's requisition for 500~three-cent postage <br />stamps was submitted, and same approved on motion <br />by Utecht, seconded by Shhvor. <br />need Inspector's Weed Inspector Paul Coppini reported that weed eradication <br />Report notices had been furnished to owners of weed infested <br />properties, and that orders had been placed for cutting <br />of weeds along.
