<br />Minors, Flaherty Warkentien reported that automatic pin setting machines
<br />Lanes - Repaint had been installed at Flaherty Lanes ao as to meet the
<br />cross xalk complaint about employing minors, and that the Police
<br />Commissioner recommended dropping of the complaint in
<br />this connection. Warkentien also reported on the need
<br />for repainting of the cross Walk in the business area,
<br />which was ordered done.
<br />County to Engineer L~ungren reported that the County would start
<br />start oiling s~reeping, oiling and sanding the improved alleys the
<br />& sanding following week. He also discussed drainage conditions
<br />alleys at Tatum and Roselawn, and a report that had been
<br /> prepared by Carley Engineering in this connection.
<br />Vacations - Fire Chief Grumke's la tter of August 21 was read relative
<br />Firemen to Fireman B.J. Slams taking his vacation the first two
<br /> weeks in September. Also Fireman Schultz' request for
<br /> accumulating vacation time in vier of Mrs. Schultz'
<br /> illness or continue working with vacation pay allowance.
<br /> After discussion, ~arkentien moved that in view of the
<br /> illness of Mrs. Schultz and the exceptional circumstances
<br /> surrounding the request, the Village would pay Fireman
<br /> Schultz for his vacation and allow him to work this year,
<br /> it being understood that this action of the Council is
<br /> not in any way to be considered a precedent, but is due
<br /> entirely to the particular circumstances of this case.
<br /> Seconded by Nilsen and carried unanimously,
<br />PERA members to The Clerk summarized a circular letter received from
<br />vote on question the State Commissioner of Administration relative to
<br />of Social Security the referendum of the m®mbe rs of the Publie Employees
<br />coverage Retirement Association to be conducted on the question
<br /> of Social Security coverage.
<br />Distribution of Engineer L3ungren reported on the distribution of
