<br />Meeting called to order at 7:35 P.M., the following council members being presents
<br />William R. Utecht, Mayor; George J. Shavor, Trustee; Harold C. Nilsen, Trustee;
<br />Willis Warkentien, Trustee; Clyde J. Stewart, Clerk. Also present: William E.
<br />Olsen, Treasurer;-Frank N. Graham, Attorney.
<br />Minutes of Special Meeting, November 7, 1957, Aare ordered approved as submitted.
<br />Sewer Installers' issued to Wallace H. Johnson Plumbing, of Minneapolis, and
<br />Licenses #8 & #9 Crogness Construction Company, of Minneapolis, respectively,
<br />were approved on motion by Stewart, seconded by Shavor.
<br />Master Plumber's issued to Francis T. Wagner, 1125 W. County Road B.,~St Paul,
<br />License #7 approved on motion by Nilsen, seconded by Shavor.
<br />Water Agreement, On motion by Nilsen, seconded by Warkentien, the Clerk
<br />Farmers Union was authorised to write the Farmera Union Grain Terminal
<br />Association that the Village desires to renew for a further
<br />period of one year the agreement between the Farmers Union
<br />Grain Terminal Association and the Village for the water
<br />extension from GTA property to the Village Hall; and further,
<br />that the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to execute said
<br />agreement for the Village subject to approval by the Village
<br />Attorney.
<br />James Boyd, The Clerk stated that the Village Plumbing Inspector reported
<br />1788 N. Albert h® had informed Mr. Boyd to discontinue running water from
<br />an electric appliance onto his driveway, but that recently
<br />.when house connection wad made to the sewer at this address
<br />that Mr. Boyd was asked again but failed to have the matter
<br />taken care of. Agreed that Trustee Warkentien should call
<br />on Mr. Boyd in this connection.

<br />ffi10,000 deposit The Attorney's letter was read relative to the State of
<br />with State Highway Minnesota offering to release X6,000 of the !610,000 deposit
<br />Department made hbout June 15, 1957, in connection with putting the
<br />sanitary sewer across and under Snelling Avenue. After
<br />discussion of the two alternatives detailed in the Attorney's
<br />letter of November 12, Warkentien moved that the Village
<br />leave the entire X610,000 deposit with the State of Minnesota
<br />and arrange with the Falcon Heights State Bank to get interest
<br />at the rate of 3~ on this sum for additional periods of three
<br />months until the entire deposit with the State is released
<br />to the Village. Seconded by Stewart and motion carried
<br />unanimously.
<br />Alley, Block 1, Payment for repairing the alley in Block 1, Northome Addition,
<br />Northome Addn., was discussed with Mr. John G. Ringus, 13b7 Larpenteur Avenue
<br />payt. for repairs West, one of the petitioners. On motion by Stewart, seconded
<br />by Warkentien, the following resolution was adopted by a
<br />unanimous votes
<br />RESOLVED, that the Clerk and Treasurer be authorized to
<br />pay the Jay W. Craig Company~~656.50 for work done on the
<br />alley in Block 1, Northome Addition, upon the receipt of
<br />that sum from the petitioners.
