Seconded by Utecht acid motion carried unanimously. <br />Concrete post Letter of November 7, 1957, from the Drivers License Director, Department <br />damage, 1565 N. of Highways, was read, requesting the Village to advise the Department <br />Hemline whether damage to the concrete post (1565 N. Hemline) amounted to more <br /> than X100. Engineer Batley reported he had examined the poet and. that <br /> the damage was nominal, requiring a little mortar on the corner of the <br /> base that the post is mounted on. The letter was referred to the attorney <br /> so that he may check as to the name and address of the owner of the car <br /> involved. <br />Street Water pockets and other trouble spots ~on our streets were discussed <br />trouble with the engineers. On the engineers' recommendation, Utecht moved <br />spots that the Village Engineer be authorized to secure the services of a <br /> qualified photographer for the purpose of having said trouble spots <br /> photographed. Seconded by Shavor and motion carried unanimously. <br /> with Don Julen <br />Northome Trustee VParkentien reported he had discussed]/the drainage matter on <br />Shopping the Northome Shopping Center property bordering Arona on the west between <br />Center Larpenteur and Idaho Avenues. He said Julen reported that a meeting had <br />property on been held with the oRner of the property and that arrangements must be <br />Arona made to divert water from Village and County streets along streets and <br /> not onto their land. In the discussion that followed, our attorney <br /> stated that the owners. of the property had filled in the area and that <br /> it was their responsibility to provide for channeling off the water. <br />Larpenteur The 1~Po construction by the County of Laspenteur Avenue from <br />Ave. construe- Ferrn-ood Ave to SnellingAvenue and construction of a pumping station <br />tion & drainage at the t3odttfried pit during 1958, was discussed with respect to our <br />cooperation with the County on the project towards solving some of <br />the drainage problems in the Village. The Village Engineer will keep <br />in touch with the County on the matter. <br />Streets, Letter of November Ili, 1957 from the Village Engineer was read, <br />Falcon Woods relating to the Village Engineer's inspection of the streets in Falcon <br />Addition Woods Addition for compliance with specifications for street construction <br />and his finding that the candition.of these streets at present is equal <br />to or better than the other streets constructed after the sewer <br />installation. On recommendation of the Village Engineer, Nilsen <br />moved that said streetsbe accepted for maintenance by the Village and <br />that the. Clerk be instructed to advise the United Pacific Insurance <br />Company that conditions of the bond, dated January 13, 1956, in the <br />amount of ~lt,000 on behalf of the B.L.Gage Construction Companyy, have <br />been met and that the bond may be terminated.
