• Ability to provide leadership to subordinates; direct, supervise and train others. Ability <br />to develop and maintain a positive and effective working relationship with city <br />employees and the general public. <br />• Ability to read and understand building plans, utility plans, site plans and plat maps. <br />• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards, requirements and procedures for proper use of <br />equipment. <br />• Practical knowledge of the operational capabilities and limitations of city vehicles and <br />equipment (trucks, tractors, small engines) and the ability to operate. Ability to perform <br />routine maintenance and trouble-shoot for major problems. <br />• Ability to maintain accurate and complete activity, inventory and personnel records. <br />• Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and orally.
