MINUTES <br />• REGULAR PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING <br />JULY 26, 1993 <br />PRESENT: ABSENT: ALSO PRESENT: <br />Kay Andrews Len Boche Susan Hoyt, Administrator <br />Lee Barry (7:45) Steve Huso Paul Ciernia, Council Liaison <br />Paul Kuettel Ken Salzberg Fred Hoisington, Planning <br />Lisa Lampi Consultant <br />Peter Bachman, City Attorney <br />Meeting was called to order at 7:30 by Paul Kuettel, acting <br />chairperson, in the absence of Chair Lee Barry. <br />PUBLIC HEARING AND PROPOSED ADOPTION OF THE PROPOSED REVISIONS IN <br />THE CITY'S COMMERCIAL ZONING CODE. <br />Proposed revisions in the city's commercial zoning code are: <br />Chpt 9, §8.01 - Replace B-1 Limited Business District with <br />B-1 Neighborhood Convenience District <br />Chpt 9, §9.01 - Replace B-1-A Limited Business & Processing <br />District with <br />B-2 limited Business District <br />• Chpt 9, §10.01 -.Replace B-2 Retail Business District with <br />B-3 Snelling and Larpenteur Business <br />District <br />Related revisions: <br />Repeal Chpt 9, §11.01 - Existing Business District <br />Revise Chpt 9, §2.07 Subd. 1 Height Limitations to read: Any <br />structural height that exceeds the zoning code must have a <br />conditional use permit. <br />Eliminate Subd. 1(a) Residential zones (maximum heights are <br />listed) <br />Re-letter Subd. 1(b) Exempt to subd. 1(a) <br />Fred Hoisington, planning consultant, <br />the proposed revisions.
