•
January 29, 2004
To multi-family apartment residents in Falcon Heights:
We want you to know that the Falcon Heights City Council plans to consider
organized collection of trash for single family residences. At this time we
are not considering changes to trash collection for commercial businesses
and multi-family residences. Your trash collection will not be affected by
this process.
However we want to keep you informed about what is going on in the City.
Minnesota Statute § 115A.94 sets out conditions under which cities can
consider and implement organized collection of trash. The Solid Waste
Commission has recommended to the City Council the Falcon Heights begin
the study, discussion and decision-making process ordained by the statute.
The Council has accepted the Commission's recommendation. There will be
a public hearing about this matter on March 24 at 7:00 p.m. in City Hall.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at City Hall,
651-544-5050. There will also be information on our city website:
http://www.ci.falcon-heights.mn.us.
Sincerely,
Heather M. Worthington
City Administrator
•
~3
