• <br />IX. RECREATION SCHOLARSHIP POLICY <br />A. Purpose <br />Donations for scholarships are being placed within the Friends of the Park <br />section of the Parks and Public Works Capital project fund. <br />B. Policy <br />The scholarship funds will be administrated by the city administrator and the <br />parks and recreation director. <br />The parks and recreation commission will set guidelines for the administration <br />of the scholarship funds. <br />Funds will be replaced through donations from service organizations and <br />individuals. <br />No annual budget will be established for the recreation scholarship trust fund. <br />Total scholarship awards will be limited to the funds designated available. <br />X. FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR COOPERATIVE SERVICE POLICY <br />A. Purpose <br />The city will consider providing financial support to service organizations or <br />projects which benefit residents of the city. For example, Northwest Youth and <br />Family Services. <br />B. Policy <br />Must be an intergovernmental service or project. <br />The financial support should be proportional to population. <br />The service or project must be ongoing or be part of an ongoing effort with <br />established goals and measurable results. <br />The service or project must be something the city cannot accomplish by itself. <br />The service or project must meet the legal requirements of promoting and <br />ensuring the health, safety, and welfare of Falcon Heights' citizens. <br /> <br />0~0 <br />
