Currently AMM <br />is monitoring this bill but may oppose <br />it in the near future. <br />'Review of Local <br />Comprehensive Plans -- <br />January 10, 2003 <br />This bill would eliminate the <br />requirement that local comprehensive <br />plans be submitted to the <br />Metropolitan Council for review. <br />Transportation Funding -- <br />January 12, 2003 <br />Authorizes $1 billion in highway <br />bonds with $250 million to be issued <br />per year in FY2004 through FY2007. <br />In FY2004, the money would be split <br />in thirds, with one third each for inter- <br />regional corridors, metro bottlenecks, <br />and other safety improvement <br />projects. In FY05/06/07, inter- <br />regional corridors and metro <br />bottlenecks would each get 47.5% <br />and the remaining 5% would go <br />toward transit advantages along trunk ~ <br />highways. <br />At this time, the bill does not provide <br />for any new or increased funds to <br />repay the bonds. <br />T_-- 1 _ <br />sf 58 Sen.
