• CONSENT ITEM: F6 <br />2/12/03 <br />ITEM: Request to Approve Extension of the Recycling Contract with E-Z <br />Recycling for One Year, Commencing on February 28, 2003. <br />SUBMITTED BY: Heather Worthington, City Administrator <br />REVIEWED BY: Solid Waste Commission <br />EXPLANATION/DESCRIPTION: <br />Summary: The Council is being asked to approve extension of the recycling contract <br />with E-Z Recycling for one year, commencing on February 28, 2003, at the current rate. <br />Goa14: To provide a responsive and effective city government. <br />Strategy 4: Strive to provide citizens with more efficient and convenient city services <br />The Solid Waste Commission has recommended this extension, and has also discussed <br />the possibility of providing additional services for curbside pickup of clean textiles and <br />clothing. E-Z is agreeable to these provisions. <br />• ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Approve extension of the recycling contract with E-Z Recycling for one year, <br />commencing on February 28, 2003, at the current rate. <br />• <br />18 <br />
