(HGI) has considerable experience with Land Lase and <br />Transportation Studies, Economic Feasibility Studies and Redevelopr~ient <br />and TIF Plans as follows: <br />Citv of Waconia, IVIN; Comprehensive Plan. HGI has just completed the <br />public hearing draft of the Waconia Comprehensive Plan. Waconia has a <br />population of approximately 3,500 people and a land area of approx- <br />imately 1,100 acres. The planning process included thr:;e carefully <br />designed community forums to take public input. <br />City_ of Chanhassen, til~T; Year ?000 Land Use and Transportation. Hoisington was responsible for lan<} ,aye <br />planning and project management. <br />City of Shakooee, :SIN; Race Track District Land Use and Transportation <br />Study. The study area included approximately 1,800 acres. Its purpose <br />was to identify uses that were compatible with the race track and to <br />establish a plan and a race track zoning district. In that there was <br />considerable factionalism among the adjacent property owners, a unique <br />process was designed to resolve conflict while maximizing landowner, <br />decision maker and public input. The Plan was adopted on schedule by t}~e <br />City Planning .Commission on April 24, 1986. <br />St Peter Revitalization Inc., St. Peter, titN; Economic Feasibility Study. This <br />project encompasses more than 12 blocks of downtown St. Peter and was <br />commissioned by St. Peter Revitalization Inc. to identify realistic <br />redevelopment and revitalization options. It included a downto~vc~ <br />shopping center plan and a market analysis designed to identify t}~e <br />market potential for retail and office uses in downtown. It also included <br />personal interviews with individual landowners and an interactive CBD <br />Focus Group Program for key businesspersons, Gustavus Adolphus College <br />• officials and City decision makers. <br /> <br />
