On April 1$, 1990, as requested by Bill Brass and Dick Freimuth, i did <br />• an excavation observation. <br />2. Bill and Qick (and Lee Stevens) were concerned about surficial sails <br />becoming "deep" in the west side of the excavation. <br />3. For background information: <br />A) ire previously drilled two borings (repart dated September ii, <br />19$9), at the north and south sides of the proposed bui]ding. <br />These borings encountered unsuitable (surficial) soil, ranging in <br />depth from I/2' in baring #2 (north side) to 4' in boring #1 (north <br />side). <br />B) We conducted an initial excavation observation on April l~, 1990. <br />ire confirnred the results of the borings. (A copy of April i3, 1990 <br />repart has been set to Jefferson, Buetaw and Falcon Heights.? <br />4. flaring the April i$, 1990, visit, Stevens dug a test pit in the west <br />side of the excavation.
