The objective of the CONSULTANT'S services will be to assist the Planning Commission <br />and City Staff throu<~h the process of updating and simplifying their Comprehensive <br />itifunicipal Plan to reflect the current conditions within the City and the aspirations of <br />its residents. <br />The product of this work will he a document, including text and ~ aphics, that will <br />provide a concise summary of the current land use and demographic conditions within <br />the community, as well as est~iblish clear, insi:htful goals and policies to guide future <br />land use and zoning decisions. In addition, the study will focus on planning issues <br />related to public facilities, transportation, and redevelopment opportunities. The format <br />of the document will be such as to encourage its use and be easily and relatively <br />inP~tpensively reproduced. <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />To achieve the above stated objectives, we propose to perform work in the following <br />four phases: <br />Phase I: Inventory and Analysis <br />Phase II: Update Goals and Policies <br />Phase III: Facilities Plans and Land Use Guide Plan Update <br />• Phase IV: Prepare Final Comprehensive Plan Update Document <br />In our work program, we anticipate much of the inventor~~ portion of Phase I will he <br />performed by City Staff with the vuidance and cooperation of the CONSULTANT. <br />
