FALCON HEIGHTS CITY COUNCIL MINUTES -6- <br />March 9, 2005 <br />Step increase and title change for Greg Hoak, Director of Public Works (continued) <br />Administrator Worthington said that Greg has become an integral member of the management <br />team at the City, and his exemplary performance has been invaluable to the City's residents, <br />employees, and business and institutional property owners. He has shown excellent judgment, <br />a strong work ethic, and a willingness to take on new duties and responsibilities as needed. She <br />said she was recommending a 5% step increase for Greg and a title change to Director of Parks <br />and Public Works to better reflect his job duties and responsibilities. <br />Lamb moved approval of the 5% step increase for Greg Hoag and a title change to Director <br />of Parks and Public Works. The motion was unanimously approved. <br />REPORTS FROM COUNCIL MEMBERS: None <br />INFORMATION AND ANNOUNCEMENTS: <br />Council member Kuettel reminded the viewing audience that the second annual food drive will <br />be taking place during the latter part of March and finish up on Saturday, April 2. Right now <br />food drop off sites are being recruited. The Falcon Heights Elementary School is on board, as is <br />City Hall. Residents can either give food products or checks, which can be made out to <br />Keystone Community Services. <br />Council member Talbot reminded the viewing audience that each year, the North Suburban <br />Communications Commission and Comcast give scholarships to students majoring in <br />communications and who live in one of the ten cities serviced by the Commission. Applicants <br />must have completed at least one year of college or vocational training. Applications are <br />available at city halls, high school counseling and college financial aid offices, libraries in the <br />10-city area; at the NSCC website: www.nsccmn.or~, or by calling the NSCC office at <br />651-792-7500.
