Sterling will provide the city's legal counsel with a draft of an <br />adopting ordinance, providing for the formal adoption by reference of the new code, as <br />herein published. <br />III. Ongoing Services. <br />• A. Supplement Service. Upon passage of a new or amending ordinance, the ordinance will <br />be sent to Sterling who will prepare it for inclusion in the code. In the process of <br />supplementation, Sterling will analyze the ordinance to be sure there are no <br />discrepancies or conflicts with other parts of the code not addressed by the new or <br />amending legislation. Any questions will be directed immediately to the city and clarified <br />before work on the legislation is completed. The amendments will then be inserted, all <br />changes to the table of contents, index and pages with special tables made, and the <br />proper number of supplement sets for hard copy and updated electronic copies will be <br />forwarded to the city. <br />B. Post Newly Adopted Ordinances Online as "Pending Codification." If the city emails newly <br />passed ordinances to Sterling, we will post them online in the "Pending Codification." <br />folder. This will keep all ordinance provisions current online for both administrative and <br />public use. <br />IV. Project Dates. <br />Preparation and presentation of initial draft and legal review 6 months <br />City's review period 3 months <br />Make changes, index and publish new code 3 months <br />Supplement service turnaround time 45 days <br />V. Additional Services. <br />• A. Sample Legislation. Sample legislation is available upon request at no charge.
