• The various city officials will communicate to Sterling's research staff any concerns and <br />problem areas that have arisen with the use of its present code, so that the legislation <br />can be checked against current operations of the city. <br />D. Presentation of Code Workbook. Sterling will prepare a draft for presentation to the city, <br />using the organization agreed to in subsection B of this section. The draft will contain: <br />• Current legislation of the code, as organized, edited and compiled, showing the <br />current status of the city's law, and <br />• Findings of the Sterling staff as a result of the legal review described above. <br />E. City to Indicate Changes. City officials will review Sterling's findings regarding questions <br />and suggestions, and provide the needed information to allow Sterling to proceed with <br />publication of the code. <br />F. Make Changes and Format New Code. Sterling will make all changes directed by the city <br />and format the code for publication in the page format, type size and style meeting <br />Sterling standards. The code will be proofread and any changes thoroughly scrutinized <br />for complete accuracy. <br />The new code will contain: <br />• A page listing all the chapters and/or articles contained in the code. <br />• Pre-chapter analyses, listing all sections contained in the chapter. <br />• • Descriptive catchlines to each section and, if applicable, subsection, of the code to <br />provide a summary of the context contained therein. <br />• Text of the legislation, accurately and properly worded, capitalized and punctuated. <br />The style of the written word will be made uniform throughout, with proper <br />phraseology, and with no substantive changes made by Sterling other than those <br />previously agreed to and as directed by the city. <br />• Historical notations indicating the source and date of adoption of each enactment. <br />• Cross-references and statutory footnotes as required to tie related sections together <br />and to address relevant state law. <br />• Any tables or appendices containing materials deemed necessary in the code. <br />G. Index. A comprehensive, key word index will be prepared for the new code in easy to <br />read language that quickly directs the reader to the desired subject matter. <br />H. Publication of Final Code. <br />1. Hard copy. Sterling will publish the desired number of hard copies of the new code <br />using state of the art publishing procedures, high quality binders, and custom tab <br />separators. The cosmetic look of the page will be in modern format projecting a <br />professional image for the code. Binders are multi-ring and will be imprinted with the <br />city's name. Mylar reinforced tabs, printed both sides, will be provided for the major <br />divisions in the code. <br />2. Code On/ine. Sterling will also provide and host the city code on the Internet.
