POLICY H3 <br />10/26/05 <br />ITEM: Sale of Radio <br />SUBMITTED BY: Sue Gehrz, Mayor <br />REVIEWED BY: Roger Knutson, City Attorney <br />EXPLANATION: <br />Summary: The City received a donation of a Ham Radio from Ed Zimmer in 2005. This <br />radio is more technically complicated than the City needs to run their CERT <br />communications. The Communications group affiliated with CERT has recommended <br />that this radio be sold and the proceeds used to purchase a more suitable radio. <br />Mike Bagstad has offered to purchase the radio for $500.00. This is in the high-end of <br />the range for a radio like this, and will provide enough money to purchase a new radio, <br />antenna and other equipment needed to provide primary and backup communications <br />between CERTs and Ham Radio Operators. <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />• Authorize sale of Ham Radio to Mike Bagstad. <br />r~ <br />~J <br />
