i. Meals. Reimbursement for meals shall be at a reasonable cost. If the city <br />official, employee or volunteer attends a meeting as a representative of the <br />city and a meal is part of the meeting or event, the cost of the meal will be <br />reimbursed to the employee, volunteer or official. In the event that meals are <br />included with the registration or tuition fee, other charges for meals shall not <br />be allowed. <br />Allowable meal costs include: <br />(1) Breakfast if departure from Falcon Heights is prior to <br />8:00 A.M. <br />Dinner if arrival in Falcon Heights is after 7:00 P.M. <br />(3) Three (3) meals per full day at an event over 50 miles from <br />Falcon Heights or requiring overnight travel. <br />j. Miscellaneous Costs. <br />Alcohol. No reimbursement shall be allowed for alcoholic <br />beverages. <br />(2) Telephone Use. Telephone calls of business nature shall be <br />allowed: A list of calls made, to whom, and reason must be • <br />submitted. <br />(3) Other Expenses. Tips, registration, and supplies shall be <br />reimbursed if required for the event. Cost of taxi fares, secretarial <br />services, copying and similar items necessary to performing city <br />business shall be allowed. <br />Any violation or abuse of the provisions of this policy shall subject an employee to ,disciplinary <br />action up to and including dismissal. <br /> <br />17 <br />-CHG02:40069922.v1 ~9/28/OS 11:33 AM <br />
