Purpose: Clarifying when and where certain types of vehicles can be stored. <br />Essentially boats and unoccupied trailers (not campers, rvs) can be stored in the rear <br />yard 10 feet from a property line. Except for snow emergencies, no vehicles can be <br />parked on grass or boulevards. <br />9-4.01 One Familv "R-1" <br />Subdivision 5. Parking shall be permitted on hard surfaced areas designed for that <br />purpose and for providing access to garage, carport or open parking area <br />and provided that no driveway or off-street open parking area shall be <br />located closer than five (5) feet from the property line on that side. For purposes of this <br />Code a "passenger vehicle" shall mean a two or four-door sedan or van <br />used primarily for transporting passengers, and shall not include pickups, <br />trucks, campers, recreational vehicles or buses. <br />Purpose: Remove the generality regarding carport or garage conversion. Keep the <br />number of off-street parking spaces as is -although circumstances vary <br />a lot. <br />e. Number of off-street parking spaces. At least two (2) and not more <br />than four (4) parking spaces permitted for each dwelling unit. At least <br />one of the parking spaces must be enclosed. <br />Purpose: Clarifies where and what type of vehicles can be parked. <br />f. Truck parking in residential areas.
