• OUR UNDERSTANDING <br />The following represents HKG's understanding of the Larpenteur <br />Avenue Streetscape Project: <br />• Larpenteur Avenue, extending the full length of Falcon Heights <br />from Fulham Avenue to Hamline Avenue, has received ISTEA <br />funding authorization for street reconstruction. Larpenteur Avenue <br />is a County State Aid Highway. <br />• The new roadway will be designed with a four foot center median <br />to channelize traffic west of Snelling Avenue. <br />• The corridor is richly endowed with major elements which give it <br />character, meaning and recognition and, therefore, need to be em- <br />braced as urban design features or elements within corridor plans. <br />• The City has kept the residents, business persons and key players <br />• within the corridor well apprised of the plans for improvements to <br />Larpenteur Avenue and wishes to continue to maintain open com- <br />munications as part of the planning process. <br />• <br />Proposal -Larpenteur Avenue Streetscape Plans Page 1 <br />
