5~~ -~~fv ~~~ • CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS O R D I N A N C E Date AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 9 OF THE CITY CODE RELATING TO THE ADOPTION OF THE UNIFORM HOUSING CODE The City Council of the City of Falcon Heights ordains as follows: Section 1. A new section 9-2.16 is hereby added to the Falcon Heights City Code, to read: 9-2.16 Uniform Housinq Code Subdivision 1: The Uniform Housing Code, published by the International Conference of Building Officials, as hereafter amended, is adopted by reference thereto, and is, as authorized by Minnesota Statutes, adopted as the Housing Code. The city clerk shall maintain an official copy of the Housing Code for public use and inspection. Subdivision 2: Amendments to the Uniform Housing Code• The Uniform Housing Code adopted herein by reference, is amended • in the following respects: a. Housing and Advisory Appeals Board Section 203, paragraph, (a) is amended to read as follows: 202(a) General: In order to provide for the final interpretation of the provisions of this code and to hear appeals provided for hereunder, there is hereby established a Housing Advisory and Appeals Board, which shall consist of the members of the Planning Commission. The Building Official shall advise the Board as requested. The Board shall adopt reasonable rules and regulations for conducting its business and shall render ail decisions and findings in writing to the appellant with a copy to the Building Official. Appeals to the Board shall be processed in accordance with Chapter 9, section 15.02, subdivisions 2 through 6, of the City Code, except that the Building Official shall fulfill the role described therein for the Zoning Administrator. The city clerk shall maintain copies of all rules and regulations adopted by the Board and make them freely accessible to the public.
